The wet and windy, with occasional snow, 2021/2022 thread

We had a fair bit of rain and strong winds last night. O/H had got excited and pulled a sizeable garden table out to use it in the warm March sun a couple of weeks ago. Found it upside down in a corner this morning.

A family member is getting married this weekend in West London.

They've just been informed that the marquee they intended to hold the reception in has been damaged by wind and cannot be used.

Was anyone else walking from Bank to Liverpool St earlier, the wind was causing a whistling/resonance from the roof tops. It was strong but I've known it to be almost impossible to walk up Old Broad St before as it gets channelled past the Nat West tower and it hasn't happened so this must have been coming from a slightly different direction. Quite eerie.

Forecast for Easter weekend in minus temp highs and four days of snow , had intended to smoke a ham . Hopefully it'll all change between now and then .

Light snow in the NE of Scotland. Again.

Netatmo says it's 2.7°C out there but the wind chill is much, much colder. I'd like winter gone now and spring to arrive. There's things to be done in the garden and it's just too damn cold to do anything yet

It will head our way but fill out, bringing some moderate southerly winds - and warmth. Then high pressure for Easter.

Still some decent XC skiing conditions in the Aberdeenshire forests - some nice sunshine but still heavy hail and snow showers blowing through.

Was pretty amazing in Dorset again first thing, but with a cold westerly wind. Fair amount of surfers out at Highcliffe Beach.

The weather is falling into a regular pattern at the moment:
We wake up to clear skies and sunshine, in the afternoon we have hail. By evening it's cleared up, goes clear and around zero overnight.
Next day it's the same.

I gambled and didn't cover up the plants last night, I think I just about got away with it. There's a frost, but a very very light one here in Whitchurch, Hampshire.

Here's hoping that's the last frost of the year! Roll on the good weather next week and hopefully a permanent migration to the other thread

Colorado low system coming in tonight until Friday!!! Maybe 50cms of snow and 90 mph winds . Thanks Jimmy (rolls eyes) lol .
