That sounds like the inspiration for a science-fiction short story (Clarke or Ballard I think) about an alien capsule that lands in a remote part of Asia.

one of them 2 times convicted for same crime, even though completely innocent.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norfolk_Four

The "Norfolk Four" are four men, Derek Tice, Danial Williams, Joseph J. Dick Jr., and Eric C. Wilson, who were convicted in 1999 for the 1997 rape and murder of Michelle Moore-Bosko in Norfolk, Virginia. A federal judge ruled in 2016 that the four men, who were convicted based on a false confession, were actually innocent.[1]

Then DO NOT look any further into it!

Some years ago I was helping an ex-girlfriend with a study that she had to complete about the difference in peoples reactions/behaviours when in and out of group situations.

This is obviously at the most extreme end of that scale and I genuinely wished that I had never got involved in it.

Came across a vid of boxer Nicolino Locche on YouTube who I had never heard of before.
Sounds like a fascinating character.
Have a read of his Wikipedia page with special note of what he used to do in between rounds sometimes. How professional sport has changed!

Something very cool about being unpunchable. Nassem Hamed was a bit like that, until, suddenly, he wasn’t.

Maybe not one to read at work, but nothing bad in it..

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harris%27s_List_of...

A directory of Londons Covent Garden ladies.. I guess back then prostitution was quite normal so makes sense to have a directory of them.
