More of a ‘can you help’ post. I have 2 pairs of Russell & Bromley ‘Munro’ boots (as below). Sadly now no longer in production. Can anyone recommend anything similar please?

Just bought these while on holiday in the local Hackett store. Made in Portugal. They where heavily reduced and where only £75. I stopped buying Tod’s-esque moccasins some time ago as I wear through them in one season, but I couldn’t let them behind at that price

On a different note these are my latest purchase, it’s so hard to find some blokes wellies that aren’t black or green at this time of year unless you’re willing to stump up £100
expensive wellies aren't all pointless... i got myself some aigle neoprene lined wellies a couple of years ago and they are so comfy and warm that they've been a total welly game-changer.New boots purchase.
Crockett and Jones scotch grain brogue boots in medium brown.
Chuffed with these as had been looking for a scotch grain boot to add to the collection but find C&J’s dark brown too dark unfortunately. This is essentially a cousin of the Islay (for those that are familiar with C&J) but in a lighter brown and slightly different brogue pattern. Made for Richard James a few years ago, on a limited run by the looks of it.
Found them on EBay brand new in box

They look quite smart, but as an ex-soldier I worry that I'd be trying to break them in for the next thousand years.Crockett and Jones scotch grain brogue boots in medium brown.

They're not too bad straight out of the box to be honest, which tends to be the case with most C&J in my experience, but will be wearing them in fairly gradually. Fortunately the closest I'll get to marching anywhere in these will be a few walks to the local pub or around town

Crockett & Jones 'Alex 2' Patent Black Wholecut Oxfords
I've long wanted a pair of wholecut dress shoes.
Yes, I will be purchasing a better set of shoe trees for these.
Do you attend many black tie events?I've long wanted a pair of wholecut dress shoes.

I would love an excuse to have a dinner suit made, but my last black tie do was nearly 30 years ago!

A full bespoke dinner suit really is a thing of beauty IMO, but I've never got as far as having one made. I was always reasonably happy with my off the peg suit. The jacket is lovely, but like I said; new trousers... I have a couple of new things in the pipeline but, after that, who knows?
As patent leather wholecuts are quite rare in my experience, I thought I best grab them. Last pair in stock at the factory.
