No they aren't all like that, it's only a minority. You are a bigot, stereotyping them like that. Etc.
what a load of tripe, I have been out for the day with the wife into the countryside, what do we see? Hordes of them "trotting" with vans to the front and the back, no care for traffic or rules, we stop off for a bite to eat and more of them are there in the cafe arguing about paying for their food, he's not a bigot, he speaks as he finds like the rest of us, lawless st bags who can fk off back to Ireland

Merc just drove into the back of a paving van outside our local camp site. Drove past, nobody in any vehicles, one guy standing by the car. I cam back 20 minutes later and there were 3 ambulances and one police car. Strange.....

Well, I've just sold my old snotter to a bunch of travellers for them to use as a field car.

They turned up at the time they said they would, spent 2-3 minutes looking around the car, another minute or two checking the details on the V5 matched those on the car, started it up, the test drive was all of 1/4 mile, paid the agreed amount in cash, filled out the paperwork and left.

The whole thing took all of 10-15 minutes, they were polite and courtious and it was by far the easiest car selling experience I've ever had.
You wait until you get all the parking fines etc coming through your door!!

Crash for cash scam. Maybe the next replacement to dodgy tarmac & roofs?

Well buying a car to be driven round fields makes a change from coming up to my Land Rover indy, nicking a Defender sat outside, smashing it through the fence and THEN driving it round the fields, completely reducing a usable if old Defender to something that now really does have issues.

Field car, it's got to be their version of the council estate scrotes' 'community car'. You used to see them all the time on those Police Community Action Traffic programmes. Some scrote driving an untaxed, uninsured heap of grot is stopped, after a time wasting, who are you, have you got a licence, where is the insurance, oh all my documents are at my Grandma's caravan in Cleethorpes malarkey, they get down to the nitty gritty, get the car on the back of a recovery truck off to the crusher. The last you see is chummy, downtrodden wife, and assorted sprogs tottering off down the road carrying various plastic bags of shopping / proceeds from shoplifting (delete as appropriate), presumably now looking for a bus stop. Very broad brush being wielded, admittedly, but truth hurts, sometimes the cap fits and all that.

And of course it all depends whose field they use.
To them that means any place really

Ive had a tale of woe dealing with them lately, but Im not going into that!

Talking to someone the other day, Chap advertised a caravan in the local free ads - £400, stating it needs a few bits doing but otherwise usable. Set of travellers turn up, spend 20mins pacing about looking at the caravan and anything surrounding it, pay the asking price and leave... Happy days!

The following day, chap gets a call from said traveller, saying the caravan wasn't right and he wanted his money back (What did he expect for £400?!) Chap says, no bother, bring it back and I'll give you your money. But no, traveller saying he's going to keep it as he's spent a fortune fixing it but still wants all of his money back. Chap politely tells him that isn't the way it works, two hours later chap has x3 Irate, abusive and intimidating travellers on his doorstep making non-direct threats, implying what may happen if they didn't get their money back.. Needless to say, chap handed over £400 for the safety of his cars, windows and family's safety...

Dirty Basteds.

Tried to break in to our local secondary school playing fields last night. Police turned up and chased them through the village, caravans in tow. Assorted, non matching number plates from UK, Belgium and Ireland apparently.

got a few a mile up the road again. they have been given a portaloo and a skip to use. Genuinely considering calling the local council tomorrow asking to have a skip delivered FOC to my house as I have a load of waste to take to the tip and ill be paying £85 a ton otherwise. Utter joke as per usual.

I reckon there should be a mass invasion of public land by ordinary tax-paying citizens in camper vans & caravans, akin to the Mass Trespass of the 30s.

C4 could turn it into a reality TV series & call it The Great British Pike-Off.

Loads and loads round here over the last 2 weeks. (Reading area). Had a lot of police helicopters going around at night too.

- Invaded a kids indoor play centre. Usual bullying, thieving, spitting and stink. The play centre closed about half an hour after there arrival 11:00 am ish... Travellers wouldn't leave and cops had to attend. they spent the next 24 hours disinfecting and straightening the place out.

- One of the local shops carparks was taken over, the shop had to close because so much stuff was getting nicked. Strangely, a lot of lampposts in the car park have lost their electrical covers and a lot of wires inside them appear to have been cut.

- The local park was taken over, took a LARGE police presence to evict them.

Just been looking at the local papers trying to find something to link... It appears they are not really covering "Traveler" related storeys this year.
