Chucking it down here again just outside Edinburgh.
Forecast as far as I can see is for rain.
Did see a snowplough/ gritter out this morning so that cheered me up….
It’s bleak. I live in East Lothian and have a very energetic Hungarian Vizsla that hates rain and who wants to know when it will all be over…Forecast as far as I can see is for rain.

I know it's probably been said a few times, but I am so fking sick of this weather. I struggle with mild depression which is made worse by gloomy, rainy, sh*tty weather (yay for living in the UK).
I've said it on here before....like you it makes my depression much worse. We've had 6-7 months of rubbish weather in Scotland, and that was on the back of a poor summer. It's been the trigger for us to start making plans to move somewhere warmer. Life is too short to put up with this nonsense!Jordan247 said:
Central Beds here, and the BBC is reporting that Saturday will be 18c, sunny and cloudy, Sunday, 17c sunny and cloudy and repeat for Monday and Tuesday.
Although I suspect Puggit will tell me they are completely wrong
They aren't wrong. I'm trying to find the keys for the other thread, but it seems they may have been washed away in the rain. Although I suspect Puggit will tell me they are completely wrong
It will be 'warm' - but that warmth is being dragged up from the south by strong winds.

I've raised it with my partner who poopoo'd my quite passionate (aka emotional) pleas to move abroad. I even got an Irish passport earlier in the year - partly for this reason but partly as I just wanted the option at some point. I work at home so can work anywhere in the world for short periods. My boss doesn't care as long as I am roughly on UK hours and available.
I have looked into an apartment for 2/3/4 weeks in Southern Spain and other areas as a way to break up just being sat at home looking at the rain all day long.
It's nice to know others feel just as depressed as me due to the weather. I have a SAD lamp but it didn't really do much for me.
Absolutely smashing it down again here in the grim North East.
Even a tiny bit of rain has rivers running off any fields or grass it's that water logged. Sons footy team has only played something like 7 games this season as the pitches have been too flooded to play on, they're only getting a game if the other team has access to those 3g pitches.
I've tons of outside jobs I need to do in the garden, the cars plus I like mountain biking which I know it's mostly wet and dirty but this just takes the mick.
I've piled the weight on last few months just off sitting about instead of been out and about.

Spanish nomad visas are very compelling - the tax rate is really low (24% if you get paid in Spain)
FYI - digital nomad life in France is a big no-no. Your company has to pay social charges.
Just to add here, my plan is to go somewhere for 1-4 weeks probably at most, and combine this with time off. I need to find an alternative to Air BnB - that's surely a failing model now, the cleaning and service fees just wipe out all possible good deals. It's tiresome. Anyway, so for example, if I found a place which was good, I may go for two weeks, and have 2-3 days off whilst over there, mixed in with weekends and evenings.
Looked at:
Tenerife but is too much around holiday makers and therefore all accomodation seems hotel based or villas
Valencia - possibility
Malaga and surrounding areas - possibility
Looked also at Southern Italy and even Tuscany
Portugal - possibility. Was supposed to go to Lisbon last month but didn't in the end.
I did also think about South Africa as it's a similar timezone to the UK although it's a big trip and obviously not something I could just hop on a plan with little planning. I've never been there either so not sure what to expect.

Is it too much for a few days of settled, calm weather?
Hoping to ride at the weekend and whilst its dry it looks like 40mph gusts
Its rained to some degree everyday for as long as I can remember. Some days starts of sunny and nice but the rain soon appears. Its only raining very lightly at the minute but judging by the size of the puddle in my garden it must have tipped it down over nightHoping to ride at the weekend and whilst its dry it looks like 40mph gusts
