Computer says no!!! As you say tech is fine when it works properly, which it quite often doesn't, when I connect my phone to a PC/laptop I have to unlock my phone and tell it it's ok to let the computer access it!!!!

Well, all seems quite reasonable in Norfolk, we might pay a visit to the Colmans Mustard shop in Norwich later.

I'll perhaps draw up a priority list and see where mustard sits on it. Probably not very high up in the big scheme of things but may be worth popping in anyway, I'll see how it goes.

Shaft fitting?

I don't really understand most of what you've written there, have you tried hitting it with a hammer, or spraying it with WD40? Fixes most things. yes

Colman's Mustard Shop?

Did you know that Colmans made their millions from the mustard that people leave at the side of their plates?

If you see her, please could you tell Mrs. Colman that the Eighth Duke of Chatterley sends his regards? We met at Goodwood Revival last year when she kindly gave me permission to use her facilities in their VIP enclosure at the Lavant Grandstands.
I think she sensed the need in me.
What a lovely lady. smile

I shall never dip my mustard spoon into another brand's mustard pot again. nono

Edited because of too many 'e''s rolleyes

Is the shop still going? Earlier this year it was due to be closed.

I should have put some mustard on the Magpie that rather rudely joined our family bar-b-q on Sunday......it's a bit much having a Magpie at your feet whilst your trying to eat. Mrs T45 was most annoyed.

I wouldn't be so uncouth as to start shooting things at a family bar-b-q in front of my wifes friends incl two arty vegan types would I.

......no.

I'd shot it out of the bathroom window on Wens, I was a bit baffled at the time ( and a bit annoyed ) as I was sure I'd got the bugger.

Morning all. I’m still resident in the hospital (or “Ozzy”, as the Scousers seem to pronounce it). The hospital are happy for me to go and are chasing the community IV team to take me on. The community IV team “don’t have capacity”. This is where the NHS doesn’t work. I don’t need to be in hospital medically, other than the need for daily IV antibiotics (albeit I’m on 4 lots a day at present, which will go back to 1 a day when I do actually escape). I’m taking up a bed, being fed, being looked after (brilliantly) by the staff. It would be much cheaper for me to be at home, surely? Even if the community team have to come out to administer the drugs?

V6 Pushfit, I’m sorry. I was bored last night (even more so than usual!) so did some shots of the external fixator. Maybe we should name it? I’m open to suggestions, from the sublime to the ridiculous. The halo style frames are known as Ilizarov frames, after their Russian creator. I’m sure there is a brand name for mine, but I’ve no idea what it might be.

Anyway, the pictures. V6, I’m still sorry.

In this one, you can sort of see just how swollen my right leg still is. All my muscles have wasted away quite dramatically (I was never what one could remotely describe as “buff” or “ripped”, but they really have gone to nothing. I’m even having to do exercises for my arse muscles as they, too, have really wasted away. Arse muscles, as in butt cheeks. They are apparently quite important for those little things like sitting, standing up,and walking).

In addition to general swelling caused by fluid build up and post op swelling, there’s a bit of a “spare tyre” effect, as the leg has been shortened by about 4cm. That soft tissue doesn’t just disappear, it just gets compressed and “donuts” outwards. Like my thigh has a rubber ring around it...

Bloody thing must have been slowly making it's way, drop by drop down through the branches of the Yew tree it was in, until Sunday when it decided to plop out of the tree, at the worst possible moment. Luckily I had the presence of mind to blame the heat. The guests were taken in, but judging by the stare Mrs T45 gave me she was not......

I tried to shoot one yesterday - followed it through the sights until it went behind a shrub then waited for it to reappear the other side. Waited. Waited. Then gave up, lowered the gun and there it was!!! - In plain sight the same side of the bush it had gone into and right in front of me. I wheeled around and pulled the trigger but missed. Bugger.

They're crafty little sods! What fooled me is that although the magpie looked hit, when I went out a magpie flew out of the tree, and there was no body, so I just assumed I'd missed. It was a 10m shot with the .410, admittedly the angle was awkward cause I was on the bog, but still I was pretty fed up. Although not as fed up as my wife when it fell out of the tree and onto the patio 4 days later.......

Anyway out of 5 magpies, 3 are now accounted for. Moles are under control ( as in dead ), I've not seen a rabbit in weeks, and all the deer are dead. It's lovely living in the countryside surrounded by wildlife thumbup

What ho Dibble old chap wavey there will also be a certain amount of swelling due to the number of times they've gone in there and messed around with it!!! Have you tried any of the exercises I suggested? I would have thought they'd have you doing certain exercises anyway to help keep mobility and strength?

So far we're just one mole, half a magpie and one deer less. The larsen trap has been a waste of time so far as well.

What are you using the Larsen trap for? I've had two crows in ours, but I found it had to be there for over a week before they got used to it and went in. They're pretty good on rabbits if they're young and thick, but my .17HMR with a Yukon XT on it is like mustard on rabbits.

Good shot on the deer, Fallow I assume. What do you use for them? I've been using a .243 they drop like a sack of potatoes with it. Was is a good one for eating?

Moles, ironically it's my cats, they've had 3 of them, I think because it's so dry they're above ground more.

I showed your exercises to the physio and they want me to stick with their specific exercises for the time being, so they know what exactly is going on and what is happening. Once I’m more mobile, they’re happy for me to introduce them and a few others they’ve got lined up for me.

The physios are a little bit baffled by my knee! There’s no damage to the joint, but I do have pain when bending/flexing it, in a place it wouldn’t (“shouldn’t”!) normally appear... the only plus side to the pain is it’s consistently been in the same place from day one. The best explanation at the moment is that it’s just soft tissue/ligament/tendon tightening through lack of use, because when I have used the leg more, it definitely eases right off. The main focus at the moment is muscle maintenance/building and improving range of movement in my knee and hip. Fortunately, it is improving, even if only slightly, but a tiny gain is still a gain.

The deer was muntjack, .270 and right through the back of the head and a freezer full of venison. The larsen is for the magpies and normally good up to two years ago when they wouldnt go near it. The mole was by trap but we havent had much going on this year as the ground is too hard!
