Yet more frivolous purchases, stuff you don't need...

Quite frivolous. Don’t need an expensive cool box as it is only about 8° today. Partial to orange stuff though.
Absolutely love Yeti! It's a slippery slope. I picked up a Tundra 45 in Camp Green, then a few bottles & tumblers, a cool bag and now they've released Agave as a colour. I'd recommend getting their ice blocks. To supplement normal ice when filling it.

JLC Atmos clock. Never needs winding.
The closest thing to a perpetual motion machine. Not actually contravening the second law of thermodynamics, but ignoring it.
Not frivolous at all - a wonderful item! The closest thing to a perpetual motion machine. Not actually contravening the second law of thermodynamics, but ignoring it.
£10k for an 80s carriage clock, I think not.
Still as my wife often points out, 'you're not the target audience' it's a shocking piece of design, and the one at £30k is even worse.

Our locked hard coolers were tested and approved by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee. Make sure you utilize the bear proof locks to keep the grizzlies out.

Never needs winding. Runs constantly. Will run as long as there's weather. Anything else you can say that about?
It does need winding, it is just wound by converting energy from temperature and pressure changes, instead of a mechanical motion. It is very clever, but it is not a perpetual motion machine and it will not run for ever - it will need servicing otherwise like all other mechanical time keeping devices friction will get the better of it.Also don't need to spending anything like 10k on one for the other poster, they've been in production a long time and can be had quite cheaply.

I appear to be in good company here - this arrived last week. We camp a few times a year, so naturally needed a great cooler box - I did try for less frivolity and ordered a Coleman initially. Would have been fine I’m sure, but the quality was a little ‘meh’ so it was sent back and I ordered this beast. It’s glorious
And as for those Atmos clocks - they’ve been on the list a while now and one day …
