More frivolous purchases, stuff you don't need..

Or, you could spend the money on deodorant and a haircut and you may lose your virginity.
I thought this was a thread on frivolous purchases, not personal attacks. Of course, the irony hasn't been lost on being called some kind of social outcast by someone with 36000 posts on an internet forum.
It's an exact copy of the sword used in the show, it will look nice on the wall and thought it was interesting enough to post.
I apologise for not being part of the clique allowed to post here.

Recently "accidently" bought a VW T5 LWD Danbury "Royale" camper.
Also at the weekend bought a space pen - https://www.flightstore.co.uk/aviation-gifts-c221/...

Well funny you should mention pens...
I was at an arty thing over the weekend and they had some AJOTO pens for people to play with. They are very, VERY nice and beautifully made.
At c.£150 they were just a little too expensive to pick up spontaneously on the spot however they are now on the xmas list. The frivolity is that I tend to write in pencil and seeing as it has no clip, I would lose it from my jacket pocket the first time I took it out of the house. I also have a lot of biros that write very well already.

Ahh the pen that was never used in space nice one.
I thought they were, NASA bought a load of them after using 'pencils like the Russians'The person that spent $24k on an Apollo 17 space pen will be a bit put out then.

So, I haven't bought a bridge or a tank or a giant statue.
In fact, though I wanted to, for a couple of complicated reasons I haven't bought this outright either.
So for now I have entered into a joint project syndicate on....
The last Sea King ever made
Built in 1990, written off in 1999, stored for many years and finally scrapped in 2013 with only the cockpit saved.
Look out for a thread soon in Boats, Planes and Trains
What's the plan? Rebuild it and return it to the skies?! In fact, though I wanted to, for a couple of complicated reasons I haven't bought this outright either.

I raised my own personal frivolity bar last night.
I managed to buy a Go Herdwick/Herdy sheep in the online auction.... anyone who has been to the Lake District in the last 18 months should know what I'm on about.
http://www.goherdwick.co.uk
Some of the ewes were going for up to £20k... so had to limit myself to a lamb.
I bagged Judge Lamb Herdwig

For a lot more than I was hoping. £1400! For a sheep! Good to have a piece of Lakes history though
A good friend of ours organised this lamb for progression solicitors in Windermere! In fact progression are currently arranging our new house purchase.I managed to buy a Go Herdwick/Herdy sheep in the online auction.... anyone who has been to the Lake District in the last 18 months should know what I'm on about.

Tempting. But I never write these days - annoying as I like pens and have some beautiful fountain pens which I used to use regularly, pre inter-web.I was at an arty thing over the weekend and they had some AJOTO pens for people to play with. They are very, VERY nice and beautifully made.
