I mean, I've never particularly considered mint to be sweet, but I understand your point. I don't eat lamb though, and rarely eat turkey.

I think though, it is a "balance of flavours" is it not? I've had pork with and without apple sauce, I've had pork with other types of sauce, apple works at least as well as some savoury sauces, and in some cases better, to the majority of people's tastes enough? I'm sure you could ask for it NOT to come with these sauces if you go to the pub, and ask for mustard/ketchup/chilli sauce whichever it is you prefer
It may well be a balance of flavour thing - but who decided apple balanced pork. I don't think it does at all. Same with mint and lamb.

More often than not though - these things come incorporated into the dish, rather than just being a sauce 'on the side' that you can ask to be left off.

It's the same with fking balsamic vinegar. The times I have asked for a starter - and it's come with a balsamic dressing or garnish drizzled all over the plate, despite there being nothing on the menu suggesting that. Surely a dish should indicate that it has an ingredient like that in it - especially one that is so strongly flavoured.

Re wasps. Get a fake wasps nest, a balloon type thingy, and hang it where you are sitting. Result, no wasps.

The vehicle check service shows the MOT status of the bike I got MOT'd yesterday as having no MOT.

Now there is a disclaimer that it may take up to 5 days, so this wouldn't annoy me...Except that the MOT *history* checker shows that it is MOT'd until the 1st Aug 2019 (ie the correct status).

Doubtful, the tax status has changed.

Yesterday it said it was untaxed *and* has no MOT, now it says taxed but still no MOT.

Hell you can't even tax it without a MOT (I presume at least that the online system won't let you, I haven't tried).

Sat in a bar last night and the woman at the table next to us was showing her other half a video on her phone, filmed in landscape, but watching it with the phone held in portrait so the video used about a quarter of the screen.

Part of me just wanted to reach over and rotate her phone 90 degrees biggrin

People in flats/apartments who play loud music...i can just imagine what their neighbors think of these s and how much of a they are generally in other aspects of life.

I don't live in a flat or apartment so am not directly affected, but as i was cycling past a small new build block of apartments through the 'lovely' town of Shenfield in Essex on Sunday, i heard music blaring out form an upper floor apartment with its balcony doors open. From 4 floors down on the road it was loud to me, i cannot imagine how bad it was for the poor bds in the block with this .

On a hot and sultry Sunday afternoon its really what everyone else wants to hear in their apartments, im sure.

What goes through these peoples minds to think what they are doing is acceptable? Or do they just not care? or too stupid to realize? Do people impacted by this not knock on their doors and complain? I'm sure i would if in that situation.

Loud music from moving vehicles. Three or four going through town this morning. I noticed that all were chav-platers.

When a meet up is placed on FB or a forum and random, unknown people post up that they're not going and why.
Who the heck needs to know that? What are you looking for, some sympathy? Post up that you are going ffs, not that you aren't.

Tescos: Why are you trying to govern how much I can buy from you? Feck off, i'll buy as much as I like, all you do is slow me down you bunch of dog turds!
You and your stupid trolleys that give me a static electric shocks when I touch the metal bits. madtypelaugh

Looking into a Stage 1 remap of my Golf R and finding that since it is a 2014 car with a 702N turbocharger, tuning it carries an above-average risk of turbo failure due to a known issue with cars of that model year.

This has annoyed me beyond reason today.

fking dog owning inconsiderate bds who let their dog bark outside at all hours of the night and early in the mornings too. Particularly at this time of year most of us sleep with our windows open and all get woken up by these stupid animals and stupider owners. Your dog barks after 9pm? Shoot it! Or yourself if you're the owner.

Don't tell me you fell for that one? I'd seen them advertised and then sat at a restaurant where they had hung up quite few. Difference? - 0! Wasps seemed oblivious or not fooled or simply chose food over possible death

French dance music, it's nearly always jazz with a bass line.

And now a new one from the legendary dance DJ French bloke.

Cue saxophones and trumpits and a base line.
Erm Trumps armpits?

OK, I grant you that would make terrible music.
