FB about the locality where i used to live

Normal rules no racism, politics etc keep subject amtter pertitnetn to area sort of thing

got one woman started posting up pictures of long dead film stars

I di ask whereabouts did they live.....didn't take the hit, or possibly did and threw in a few more.

A few days ago some other crazy woman pasted a story about some young lad who died saving a baby

I just skimmed it but them noticed not only was it about some bloke in Oklahoma but it was 5 months ago. Now they are saying what a brave man he was etc the best one was '
Your parents must be proud' WTJF!! how does their mind work thinking how is a bloke 5 months dead 4000 miles away will read thier note/

When i complained it wasn't relative . i got back stuff saying i wasn't compassionate etc

So i said would it help their grief if i posted up the news about the Titanic and the Great plague of 1665

It was bad enough with the night night Waltons routine with pictures of fluffy animal , angels etc and then gettting the same 10hrs later with good morning everywhere.

And these are supposed to be rational adults
Do you think its rational getting wound up by them, then interacting with them biggrin

I have held my tongue over all the people posting the "just message me I'll help and nobody else needs to know"
and the chippies, cafes etc saying free meals for hungry kids.
I don't mind them doing it but fk off shouting about it.

I don't entirely disagree, but there's not a huge amount of point in offering the service if you don't tell anybody. A locally relevant Facebook group would seem to be perfect place to publicise that you're willing to help out.

I don't think most people disagree with feeding kids. However the majority of kids aren't going hungry because the parents are skint, it's usually because they have poor money management skills prioritise other things above the health and wellbeing of their own children.

Friend of mine is a social worker and some of the full times mums are always contacting her trying to get accepted to a local food bank. She turned up at the house which had a Land Rover Evoque parked in the drive.

Then when some got accepted to the food bank they complained because what they got wasn't from Fortnum & Mason.

The left would have you believe that it is the states fault that kids are starving because they aren't paying the parents a decent living wage or topping up poor pay with enough working tax credits.

Mass complaints about fireworks the last few days. Seemingly the same people who were encouraging folk to set them off for the NHS in April. They don't like it when you point this out though biggrin

In other news, looks like Caravan has gone. Nothing I've seen on the group but daughter in law drove past earlier and said it wasn't there. Unless she's gone to Wales for half term....

The thing is if you even mention that the parents would have plenty money to feed their kids if they didn’t have the latest iphone, fags, booze and the 2 Staffordshire bull terriers, you get slated on these pages.

I do find the left 'nothing is ever anybody's fault' schtick tiresome. However, parents having children that they either can't or won't afford does present a fairly unique difficulty because it's hardly fair for the children to suffer because their parents are irresponsible arseholes and how you deal with parents like that without harming children, who've done nothing wrong, is a very difficult question.

Castration would solve the issue within one generation, but having the 'balls' to effect a solution, is too toxic for all politicians either local or national, so here we are, paying generations of worthless scum to reproduce and being lectured by a footballer that more should be done to feed their feral kids!

Am I wrong?

That’s my take on it. We should feed the kids because they’re the victims in all this but at the same time we really shouldn’t have to except in a narrow set of circumstances. Most kids who aren’t being fed just have stty parents. My mum and my wife both grew up in very poor households but they were fed come hell or high water, in the age of food banks etc I really can’t see many excuses for child hunger holding much water. But that doesn’t matter because children do go hungry and that’s shameful whatever the reason.
