Awful nights sleep, too hot!!! frown
It's much cooler outside this morning, but still swelteringly hot inside!!
I'm sat at the kitchen table eating my breakfast, Alpen this morning, with the back door open, it's much nicer, as it's cooler!!!

Do you know what I'd like to do?

You know the old saying "there's always somebody worse off than you"?

Well just once I'd like to meet him/her. Just to make me feel better.

My VAT-related hell was made worse yesterday by a 45-minute phone call, most of which was spent listening to crap music, the rest of which was spent telling the person on the "helpdesk" that no, I wasn't going to let them "migrate" our accounts on to the new "cloud" based system they flogged us, as our existing accounts programme wasn't compatible with the Gummint's "Making Tax Digital" system using 31 March as the changeover date, which would have meant re-inputting every transaction since 1 April.

Every. Single. Transaction.

I was quite proud of the level of restraint which I managed to exhibit. They're going to go away and think of an alternative means by which we can "migrate". One which doesn't involve me having to do the last three and a bit months' work all over again.

Bobbers doesn't know when he's well off.

I feel your pain Dermot O', the helpdesk operators are often not that helpful!!! M&S recently forced me to change banks as they decided to shut all the branches and do away with accounts, so i moved to Metro Bank, it all went smoothly, apart from my loan repayment to M&S bank which didn't get payed, despite being moved and set up in plenty of time, cue me sat there last night for about twenty minutes getting passed from pillar to post so i could make the payment!!! grumpy

Some like it hot, some of us don't!

I shall be avoiding Crewe like the plague today by going to Birmingham (Small Heath aka Small Death) then Leicester (aka Lesta). Troublesome trucks, ahoy!!

Howdy Cowboys!
The hay is in! We've had a kind of warm mistral breeze here for about 4 days and it's dried the hay nice n quick and it's now all "barned"

Milk was fetched early doors and the lovley Marie tells me her sons wife is in hospital having thier second grandchild. Lots of glee going on.

The ride on has been put back together and undergone trials with sucsess! I removed the rear collection box and made a grass deflection plate so it just spreads out onto the ground. I may have to now lend it back to Mad Carol to get thier lawns cut as the new John Deere hasn't arrived yet!

Madam M has new hand dressings and a physio visit this morning.

Hot today, hotter tomorrow and Thursday, rain forcast Friday. Perfect.

I'm WFH today, but it's so hot I'm having the afternoon off.

Storms forecast later, the first couple of them are just starting to brew on the radar.

AC428 for me, please.

Dogmatic?

Oh, all right, I'll take a Maserati Mistral if it's an emergency.

Fair point your Dickyness, mind you they were both penned by the same geezer at Frua wink

ION, despite the heat I'm still drinking oodles of tea at work, there's probably a Railway Bylaw about it somewhere in the rule book!

I didn’t realise you lived in Brew on the Radar. Lovely little town, I often stop there when driving through the Cotswolds, the little tearoom on the High St is lovely.
Keep ‘Brew Up’ in Brew on the Radar on your radar!

yeahiknow

For the uninitiated. Maserati above, AC Cobra-in-a-frock beneath

Styling houses sold designs and car companies interpreted them. Easy.
