Hows next week looking? I know this week will stay windy and unsettled. I'm going to hit the road with work and travel to London for the first time since Lockdown
... but not if it's going to be anything like the last week![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
Polar Vortex is strong and organised - so unsettled is the form horse. ... but not if it's going to be anything like the last week

Also means no chance of winter for most of us.
Great insight in to Eunice vs Franklin. Charts show number of years since the peak winds for each storm were last recorded. Eunice definitely the more noteworthy storm.

This overturned shed is no ordinary shed. It's the 'honesty box' shed for the local free range egg farm. It's usually stocked with many, many eggs....
.....omelette anyone?

Does that mean I can get my summer tyres back on? I’m pretty sure there’s a slow puncture in one of my winters
Polar Maritime weather can certainly still happen (cool winds from the NW) - you couldn't rule out snowfalls in West Yorks. Long periods of cold are certainly currently ruled out. Dog Star said:

Screams the headline![rolleyes](/inc/images/rolleyes.gif)
It then goes onto explain (with lots of 'it may' and 'it might' or 'could') snow a bit and it's not until the 21st lasting until the 23rd.
We'll review that one in a week then.....

Slightly iffy day today - those on the south coast should keep an eye out for orange dust from the Sahara. Quite amazing pics of orange ski slopes in Spain.
After today, high pressure takes charge. Sunny high pressure - but not really warm, will feel lovely in the sun and cold at night.
More high pressure likely through out spring.
