Worse pain ever felt?
Discussion
As a 10 year old I was hit in the face with a pole once. It was an accident, although I'm sure many people would love to do the same to me now.
Feeling something "go wrong" with your skull, collapsing in a pool of blood, and only waking up in hospital staring at a 12-needle injection, plus the absolutely immense pain prior to passing out, wasn't a fun experience.
I did receive a free 7-up for my bravery from the stall, though. Generous wkers.

2 years ago, surgery, post op...
I had an L5/S1 spinal fusion & L4/5 artificial disc fitted.
The pain immediately after coming round from the anaesthetic was...off the chart!
Another time was early 90's playing baseball with dad & brother. I was bowling, brother batting... My brother hit a a belter of a ball straight into my...balls!
Pain was another..off the charts! I collapsed, my face inches from dog st, did I care, did I fk!
Just one other time. I was in the school hockey team, I was around 13, so mid 80's.
Me & my dad were practicing in the garden (he played at when school also).
So we were hacking at the ball, dad takes big swipe/hit, misses ball, hits me across both unprotected, bare shins with hocky stick.
I remember my dad picking me up saying 'walk around, walk around' when all I wanted to do was puke!
It looked like I had another 2 kneecaps!

Erm, nothing as bad as some of this stuff.
The leftover of my amputation starts aching when it gets cold and by about february I want to cut the rest of the extremity off.
Cricket ball to the nuts was not nice.
Dislocating my patella and resetting it myself made me wince.
Re breaking and resetting my nose was awful.
I await kidney stones with dread.

I went over the handlebars of a friend's mountain bike when I was ten. It was a crappy import with the brakes the opposite way around- something he failed to mention. I went racing down my road and pulled what I believed to be the rear brake..
Over the handlebars I go, teeth first into the tarmac. One front tooth snapped in half upon impact, the second ground down as I slid to a halt. Nerves hanging out, blood everywhere, mashed lip and a badly grazed face. That was pretty painful at the time.

That's shingles, mate. Herpes Zoster. It hits you much harder as an adult. You are better off getting it as a kid; though you are never rid of it your body learns to deal with it and it normally doesn't come back. It can, though, as I found. There isn't much that can be done; it is difficult to diagnose it fast enough for the anti-virals to work.Chas88 said:
Pilonidal Sinus. Feel free to google image that.
/thread.
The Sinus itself was pretty painful, but the hole they cut in my back to remove it was even more so. Esspecially after the op, forgeting to take my pain medication and then trying to have a bath...never again. /thread.
Worst pain though was having an infection in one of my cheeks...down south. I literally couldn't do anything without tensing my leg muscle except, bizarrely, sitting down (seems I relax those muscle more sitting than laying on the bed). As you can imagine visiting the toilet wasn't a pleasant experience, but it was taking a shower that literally had me in tears (water running over it was agony). I was taking co-codamol and tramadol and it gave me at most 30 mins relief. If I have anything like that again, I'll take a knife to it myself, it'd be less painful.

Links in to the post above yours.
Women often say that giving birth is the most painful thing, but often go on and have more kids. Kick a guy in the bks and he wont go up to his mate and say 'hey Steve, kick me in the bks again please'.
Yes giving birth is horrible but the very worst pain I can remember was being punched very hard in my right breast when I was 16. It was absolutely, unbelieveably excruciating.
