Du-bye-ee, Du-bye-ee,![frown](/inc/images/frown.gif)
Wipe the tear, baby dear, from your eye-ee,
Tho' it's hard to part I know,
I'll be tickled to death to go.
Don't cry-ee, dont sigh-ee,
There's a silver lining in the sky-ee,
Bonsoir, old thing, cheer-i-o, chin, chin,
Nah-poo, toodle-oo, Du-bye-ee.
That was close. There was mention in another thread about an elderly Bristol with a 2 litre engine and I went off on one about the engine having been built from 1919 to 1963 when it was replaced by a Ford engine. Then I thought, "Bristol? 1919? That doesn't sound right." So I checked.
It was AC who used the same engine from 1919 until 1963.

AC's OHC six cylinder 1991cc engine was the second longest running engine of all time beaten only by VW's four cylinder air-cooled engine as used in the original Beetle which was produced in various forms from 1936 until 2006.
