I bet I could recognise a fair few people from their posts alone on PH.

Mang.
If I'm honest, I learned much about using the written word in a forum post from Rammage during his golden age. Quite apart from the 'divisive' content of his posts, it was clear that he was actually rather good at making two or three short sentences read like a very amusing contemplative outburst.

I'd have made my way across to CTF if I could be arsed to become 'established'.

A quick Google confirms that Rammage is now tweeting.

I was invited over, and told I was 'established'.

I was shown through a door. I remember a black and white tiled floor, and then the piano part of Layla kicked in.

Nope.

Reference has sailed over my head like a shell in a naval bombardment.

I saw a 'chap' with purple cords on yesterday. Instantly I thought of someone on an Internet forum that I've never met. An entry in a database. 1010000101.

I spend too much time on here.

Is it just me or so other peoples houses have sock monsters? 50 socks in washing machine make 10 pairs come out. No idea what happens. It's a Scooby Doo mystery and no mistake. Bloody sock monster eating all my left foot socks.

Not just you.. I've bought dozens of pairs of socks over the last couple of years but they always seem to vanish faster than I can buy them!

No, it's standard. The truth is, and don't share this elsewhere please, that there's no money in washing machines. SO... About 10 years ago, as Chinese manufacturers started devaluing their products, Hoover, zanussi, candy, indesit etc formed a secret alliance. They bought all of the sock making factories south of the tropic of Capricorn and signed a treaty. The result of this is that 99.4% of washing machines are now hybrid. They use less electricity, which keeps the tree huggers happy, and are 42.4% powered by socks.

As a result profits at the sock companies are what funds the cleanliness of western civilisation.

That, sir, is fact.

How was your date?

Probably because it wasn't really special enough compared to the other Fast Fords of the time and by then the XR2 was on it's last legs really so it's not considered "special" enough to save?
