A bit council (Vol 3)

James was the first person who ever paid attention to me,' she says, while James admits to always liking 'bigger girlsYes, because James looks like the bloke who kidnapped Ted for his weird son.
I heard some rough tart this morning say to her offspring as it exited the car “out you come liltle ledge”.
I assume this was a shortening of “legend” which is a very council word and one that should be banned.
It’s a shame that a word that was once used to describe a truly great person is now used to decorate someone that simply farts loudly or is sick while drinking too much alcohol.

Ledge was probably his name, named after Heath Ledger maybe? I know how council minds work.I assume this was a shortening of “legend” which is a very council word and one that should be banned.

Guilty of this recently, although not because of cigs but because Tesco won't take their own gift cards at the pump.
Tesco gift cards, what do we think?I've got quite a zoomy car and the handbook says not to bother putting anything higher than 95 RON in it - no benefit whatsoever; will produce neither more mpgs or more bhps.
Incidentally if it matters the reason I have Tesco gift cards was I got an award at work and the prize was a certain £ value in gift cards. Looking at the list of gift cards it wasn't extensive and nothing really jumped out at me so I took the Tesco gift cards so I can use them to fill the car.
I await judgement...

It was Momentum 99 and it was going in an Octavia VRS.

Momentum 99, Octavia VRS, trying hard at work? I think you're in the clear.Incidentally if it matters the reason I have Tesco gift cards was I got an award at work and the prize was a certain £ value in gift cards. We listed a pair of kids ice hockey boots on our local sales page last week for £10. We've listed them for free in the past, but it turned into a massive illiterate bunfight over who could snatch them first. We lied and said they were now sold - the person who got first dibs was proper obnoxious, and their FB profile was full of Britain First propaganda, and petty Change.Org campaigns
Relisted them at £5 - which got a lot of "can you deliver them?" questions. No, not for a fiver.
Listed at £10, 2 people politely messaged, the first said it was too far to come across town, but thanks anyway, the second person arrived the following morning, had a quick look, thanked us, handed over £10, and left.
We've learned a valuable lesson from this!

The lesson is value is valued.Relisted them at £5 - which got a lot of "can you deliver them?" questions. No, not for a fiver.

I'm not trying to be clever clever but it's really true. If it's free people who don't necessarily want it will simply want it as it's free.
Also you will get dealers etc trying to get it
Put a bit of value on it and these type fall away.
Not entirely unconnected. I used to sell a particular type of item on e bay. It is not a very hard thing to use but its not simply plug and go. I found I was attracting a lot of general enquries and getting involved in electronic ping pong exchanging messages.
I then upped my price by around £10. I now sell to people who know what the items are and have done their own research. It was one of the better decisions I made

Had similar when I sold a load bike lights on eBay a few years back
I bought 1440 sets from the factory in China. Sold about 1300 sets between sep and the end of jan at £19.99. Sold the rest at £9.99 in the next couple of weeks as bike light season was just about done. Nice.
Found 1 stray set at the back end of April so listed it as a 99p start auction. Sold for 99p.
Guess which set was the only one to be complained about?!
