Well I fancied a gadgety bluetooth speaker for the garden, bought one of these for a tenner. Ordered Friday afternoon, arrived Saturday morning.

The sound quality is surprisingly good, just plonked it on the wall next to the Weber as I was bbqing, perfect. It feels very solid. Total bargain.
Feel the POWER of PH biggrin

I've just ordered one too! The blue ones were only £10. I nearly bought a JBL one yesterday for £28 but wasn't that impressed with the volume level. Just want a cheap one for holidays. Cheers chaps!

Again something I've looked into before. The small ones are too small, the big ones are too damn expensive. Even if you go for a kit one of the large ones, you start getting into silly money just for the LEDs.

Certainly qualifies as frivolous though smile

I don't need a speaker but for £10 for the blue one I thought what the hell. They don't deliver to Amazon Locker which is a pain as will have to pick it up from the Post Office. Going to a BBQ shortly so might be handy for the coach there and back.

Saw one in London, blasting along Sussex Gardens. Didn't know where you got them from.

Now, if you could just tell me how to switch the bloody thing off please? biggrin

I know you are supposed to press the on/off button, but it never really seems to switch off and has a spazzy turn of static noise and vibrations every ten minutes or so. Weird.

That is not only awesome but spectacularly/suspiciously cheap (delete as appropriate). So tempted but I assume I would be fairly swiftly in for a tugging for a multitude of offences (especially as I have no motorcycle entitlement on my licence!)

That whole website has some spectacularly awesome stuff on it, but I very much doubt the quality is up to much.

If you need / want to go to a fancy dress party, the fighter pilot helmets for £30 delivered are really not too expensive. (Great if Top Gun happens to be the missus favourite film too. wink)

I've not looked into the "intimate goods" section whilst at work...

For my summer project I'm in the process of repainting the garage window.

Of course I could have just slopped a bit of Dulux all over it but where's the fun in that.

First of all I got one of these to take the paint off.

Unfortunately that's scratched the glass so I'll have to replace that too.

I've sanded, filled, sealed, primed, sanded, primed, sanded, painted, sanded, painted so far. My wife's not keen on the colour so I may have to start again,.

After all that, I've taken the glass out and there's some hard putty in there. I could chisel it out but found I could justify getting one of these.

I'll probably have to sand and paint again before replacing the glass. It's a kack-handed project that will probably have got better results with the slopped on Dulux but it's kept me off the Xbox for a while and I've got new toys to play with.

ETA for the completed window is currently end of September or Christmas if the colour needs changing. smile

you can often find them in Aldi too and for the price they are a no brainer.
they also randomly sell a blister pack of attachments, saws / sanding disks etc which are universal and although only last a couple of jobs are cheap enough to warrant bunging them in the trolley when you see em.

You have to pick your stuff, a lot of it is decent, a lot of it isn't spectacular quality, having said that, I haven't ever been disappointed with anything I have purchased.
