Vernon Kay and Jon Culshaw are the two most recognisable, and one of those kids from the Vauxhall adverts (overtired) was a few years below me in high school.

Eddie Cheever owner of an Indie Car Team (or was not sure now) was in my class at high school. In Formula 1 for a short time and drove Alfa's too.

Quite PH methinks.

Surprisingly i dont think anyone has mentioned / listed the (not so) illustrious from either of my schools!!!

Started out at (and having culled off some of the seriously dull stuff, to just leave the regular dull stuff)...

  • Clementine Churchill, Baroness Spencer-Churchill (1885–1977), wife of Winston Churchill
  • Sir Donald Fergusson (1891–1963), Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, 1936–1945, and Ministry of Fuel and Power, 1945–1952
  • A. K. Chesterton (1899–1973), fascist, and first Chairman, National Front, 1967–1971
  • Graham Greene (1904–1991), author
  • Sir Robin Knox-Johnston (born 1939), yachtsman
  • Sarah Brightman (born 1960), singer
  • Emma Fielding (born 1971), actress
  • Patrick Hennessey (Born 1982) author
  • Carla Chases (born 1984), actress
  • Talulah Riley (born 1985), actress

Was in same class / house as Sarah Brightman's brother.

No idea who the last 3 are but they may mean something to the younger PH'ers paperbag

Then we moved and i went on to this one (same realy dull stuff removed to leave regular dull stuff)

  • Stephen Ward (1912–1963), osteopath involved in the Profumo Affair
  • Captain Nick Barker (1933–1997), Captain of HMS Endurance during the Falklands War
  • Ben Gollings (born 1980), England rugby sevens player
  • Air Chief Marshall Sir Roger Palin, KCB OBE MA (born 1938)
  • General Sir Brian Kenny, GCB CBE (born 1934)
  • Admiral Sir Ian Garnett, KCB (born 1944)
  • Alex Hibbert (born 1986) polar explorer

Wasn't he from Garston, Watford? Which school was that, then?

Eddie Irvine went to my school. He was/is a prick.

A few years ago he was asked if we would be a guest speaker at the annual prize day. He turned them down allegedly saying "That school never did anything for me why should I lift a finger to help them out?". Think of the kids mate.

Also he recently presented a TV documentary about a local guy who was one of the leading founders of the SAS and a highly decorated war hero (Blair Mayne). All through the program Irvine kept comparing himself to Mayne saying how similar they are. It completely butt clenching to watch so much crawling. Tosser.

Come to think of it Blair Mayne also went to our school. Pity it was not at the same time as Irvine as he could have rubbed him out wink

As this is PH, Clive Tricky (Mini Tuner, Author and Racer) was my Physics teacher. Sadly died very young.
