Things that annoy you beyond reason...? [Vol 3]
Discussion
TV in general. I didn't watch TV from Friday evening until Sunday night due to being out at a PHers stag do - I just didn't miss it at all.
The first thing I saw was X factor followed by some stty E4/C4 comedy and some drivel on ITV of one of those mocumentary shows. I know there's quality stuff out there (I also watched Casualty) but I know that if I didn't have a TV, I'd not miss it at all.
I'm sat watching Postman Pat with my 3 year old and that's more bearable than most of the adult programming that is on just now. That being said, I think he's probably the worst postie in the world

The word 'Awesome'. A bloke at work describes his kids as 'awesome', his wife is 'awesome', the film he watched last night was 'awesome', he went to Nando's and it was 'awesome'.
It would be almost acceptable if he was from America, but he's from Liverpool.
The bloke that sits opposite me thinks he's American. He is always on the phone to his wife or to his parents and every call is held at massive volume. It would be almost acceptable if he was from America, but he's from Liverpool.
Worst bit, apart from the fact that he is utterly useless and has to get his father in law to come round to do such simple tasks as (eg) change a light switch or door handle (I'd be embarrassed!) is that he insists on calling his parents "mom" and "pops".

Colleagues who ask you to a meeting to present to a customer, but they still haven't told you on which topic you're presenting, specifically, despite me asking them 4 times!
My colleague still doesn't get it so has just been on the receiving end of, "I'm trying to help you, you 'tard!" on the phone.
I've now emailed his boss and told him to sort his young muppets out as they're unable to answer basic questions to enable us to meet the customers' needs.

People who drive their car while wearing a hi-viz jacket. No nobber, you're not the Police and you're not fooling me either.
I have to wear a hi-viz at a lot of places I go to and if I take if off when getting the car to leave I get told to put it on again so I have to drive out with it on.If I'm driving any distance I stop and take it off because it's slippery and I don't like driving in it. But if I'm only going a short distance and know I'll need to put it on again I don't bother.

My girlfriend's dad works at a very strict site. It is written in their contracts they must drive /ride/ walk to and from work wearing high vis. They get disciplinary action if they are spotted commuting without one. Flat6er said:

Seriously? Are the pavements around his work THAT deadly he needs hi-viz? Presumably they pay travelling time to enforce that rule.
There's a post on Bookface at the moment, linking to an online petition urging people to sign regarding changes to the flight path out of Heathrow not to be made permanent because it overflies their town.
The person who posted it has a picture of an Australian landmark as her profile picture!
She's more than happy for other peoples peace and quiet to be disrupted, but not her own.
Would love to have seen how she got on before aircraft became as quiet as they are today.

This makes me laugh and get annoyed, People know there is a large international Airport in the area yet they choose to move to the area and would not suprise me if members of their household work within airport services, then people moan about expansion and noise The person who posted it has a picture of an Australian landmark as her profile picture!

This is also the same with new build housing being pushed closer and closer to motor racing circuits, people move in then complain about noise! Just F off, the lot of you. If you don't like it move somewhere else and commute in to work as many other folk do.
