Check out this bad boy;

2 sets of lightbars. ( I spy a bit of blue on the rear one which would make it illegal).

Spotlights on the roof. Plus LEDs. Obviously.

Roof rack.

Winch.

Sump guard.

Front strobes.

Obligatory hi-viz (orange, yellow is so yesterday) hanging up in full view for everyone to admire.

Illegal plate.

Fire Service battenburg (possibly illegal, I'd need to check).

What further modifications would make this the ultimate Walt vehicle ?

I'm assuming he already has a rear matrix board.
No self respecting 4x4 Response member would be without one.

More antennas ?
The hedgehog look is cool ....

No raised air intake. How is he going to fjord a swollen stream to deliver coal to Mrs Miggins.

Singular antennae is a disappoint also. What if he needs to marshal comms between interagency channels. Going to struggle.

Why do the police need help when they are in a 4x4 themselves? They are assisting the police. I bet these bells drive up and down looking for damsels in distress then take a photo when the old bill arrives and say see we were assisting them.

Well spotted.

Points are deducted for a missing snorkel. Hell, even Police Landys have them.

I was thinking more along the lines of this for Comms

Antenna are so old hat.

In fairness, I'd expect a BMW SUV on normal tyres to be utterly flummoxed by anything more treacherous than wet tarmac.

The 4x4 lot are making it too easy.

There is another group of people displaying some fairly waltish behaviour. Amateur triathletes. Full disclosure I am one of these but don't do what some of them do.

Some take it far too serious. IG posts "6:00AM run, welcome to the grind". "Focusing on my nutrition and recovery today", "My coach told me to focus on time rather than distance" etc etc.

They make out like the are training for gold at the Olympics, when in fact they came 84th at the Bedford super-sprint.

The arms race on equipment is hilarious (again FD I do have an expensive bike). Fat bankers on £15K bikes. Spending £3K on a set of wheels that will save them possible 40 seconds on their Ironman bike leg - despite the fact they cant swim for st.

There are a couple of videos mocking them:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMCkuqL9IcM

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KTEgLKhjIw&t=...

Some make out they are a huge inspiration to other people. "Yeah I am so fat I cant put my socks on, so depressed, wish I could something about it but don't have the motivation. Hold on, Sharon has posted a 3k run on Strava, maybe I could do that too"

Could a raised air intake be inside the cab, so only temporarily connected when having to deal with deep water

Seen a few pay and play cheapos using old vacuum hoses inside the cab, cheap and cheerful

Is a Hi-Viz really required for sitting in your mums basement playing with a radio set?

Some X5s now are RWD while still sat on low profile summer tyres.

FWiW, if I was helping a 5 series owner to rescue his car from a ditch at 1AM, then I'd be wanting to wear a hi-vis vest too.

Ok not to start an argument but in the book he says no blues because they are impossible to hide
Not true I'm afraid mate. I'd imagine he may not want to reveal things/wasn't the case back then.

You can hide blues, there is a big difference between unmarked cars and full covert fit.

Covert fit you'd never know until they turn them on. The cars the SF use to get to places in a hurry all have blues.
Is it just me, or does this sound a bit, um, Walty?

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.

Mondeos spinning their wheels in a field off the shoulder of Wales.

I watched Discos tow busses from a ditch near Newport Pagnell.

All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.
