You've got to love hardcore drinkers. I had lunch at 'Spoons in Wishaw (East Kilbride / Livingstone / Hamilton kind of area) last week. That was just incredible. Lots of hardcore daytime drinking going on.
why would you drink during the day? even during my uni days if i drank more than 2 evenings in a row i'd start feeling really really rough and tired. it would be loads harder to get a buzz off it too.

Moët is only council if it is pronounced "moway" by the purchaser / consumer. If it is pronounced "mo-ett", then it is not council.
Actually you should pronounce it 'mo'wett', the founder had a Dutch name.
That's how I was trying to "type" it - I agree 100% with your introduction of the "w".

I can only guess that it's because they have nothing better to do and their lives are generally happier in a permanent state of drunkenness.

WTF is this all about, previously celebs/the rich used to show off their owned homes in papers. Now we have renter's doing it!

That’s usually London. I think it’s more a case of “would you believe what I get charged for the ‘privilege’ of living here” with tongue in cheek, than “showing off” to be fair.

There is no way that, that bloke is 4 years younger than me, my dad looked better than him on his 65th birthday.

Joking aside, that has to be a typo in the article, he cannot be only 40.

My brother is 40, and would easily pass for 25, that guy looks in his 50's to me.

WOW
Today is some seriously sexy action day.
Transgender isn't all that bad:

Older women can still have it and flaunt it

Ive often thought about doing tag teaming with my favourite poster Dogstar and either Granny or Danny could be the beginning of that sort of stuff

Shame...it's a Mail article and no mention of house prices, even set here in the cultural capital of West Kent.

Standards and all that.

What has Wishaw and Livingston got in common?

No idea, am I missing a punchline here?

(Seriously, looks like both towns have lost their major sources of employment - mining and / or steel)

Most of the frozen stuff in supermarkets has already defrosted before it goes in the freezer cabinets anyway, so I don't know what he's whinging about. Just visit any supermarket that opens 24 hours and you'll see the same cages and pallets of frozen stuff that have been wheeled out of the store room at 10pm and they're still sat there at 6am the following morning waiting for shop floor staff to put them in the freezers. Used to see it all the time at Asda Morley as we worked round the corner and called in for snacks in at break time and I'd often pop in again for a few bits on my way home after finishing work.

Looking at the size of them both in the photo it appears that they get more than enough icecream as it is so having to bin a couple of tubs is doing them both a favour.

I don't think they are anything like each other. I was curious about the comparison.

Livingston was the electrical semiconductor industry. It's been replaced with the shopping centres and huge warehouses.
