Blue Riband, never been a fan.
Just discovered the dark chocolate version. Quite acceptable.
'Blue Riband', or 'Taxi', as I still remember them.

Taxis, Viscounts, Clubs (not the Orange ones thank you) and Penguins were staples of my school lunchbox, along with a packet of Quavers. And some sandwiches obviously.

Slightly confused. Did Blue Riband become Taxi and then revert, or was Taxi a copycat, or?

Blue Riband was around when I was a sprog. Old enough now to have a bus pass (largely unused btw).

Was just making a couple of phone calls and remember I would've waited until after 6pm when it was cheaper. And after 1pm at work.

When I was at primary school, Sun-Maid raisin boxes were popular in the lunch boxes along withe Tracker bars.

There was a white glue that smelled of marzipan too.

Copydex smelled of ammonia...slightly old fish smell. Used to use gallons of the stuff in the printworks

I wonder why it fell out of common usage? I had an old Bentley with one and it was terrific, a real revelation, having not experienced it in period. Something that could make a comeback imo.

Yes, it was a pneumatic washer pump iirc, rather than a switch for the wipers.

Actually both. Rubber squeezy bulb for pumping washer fluid and a circular shaped contraption surrounding the bulb which operated the wiper switch.
(Perhaps mine was the deluxe version lol!)
