Due to actually getting into the playoffs, not actually winning anything as yet.

That is at least neat and tidy.

Clearly a council house however, so its council.

Yes, Council can be spick, span and houseproud, but with disastrously poor taste. It's one of the subtypes of Council in the Great Family Tree of Councility. It's what I grew up amongst.

2 droppers, 4 fully dropped kerbs plus mortar and race, and full width reprofiling of the footway and any covers within. Plus a 5 year guarantee, roadspace, NRSWA authorisation and guaranteed acceptance of workmanship. I don't think it's that bad for the amount of work needed. Plus it means you don't have to bump over the kerb (priceless).
How times have changed or areas. In Bristol mine is 1 x slopped + 9 leveled kerb stones as we meet the neighbours drive so no need for a 2nd slopped one this cost £650 for the slope and kerbing and the councils bit.

The drive however cost 3k, we did get them to do it in the winter. So was cheaper
I hate myself for how in depth my reply was rofl

This is more like it but still cheap for almost 10m worth of kerbing and blacking. Your average 6m (2 tapers and 4 centres) crossing shouldn't cost any more than £900

Or someone that doesn't take themselves too seriously.

Hmmm - there's a certain amount of effort gone into it - someone has given it serious thought to achieve their 'look', rather than it being a happy accident.

Surely this should be in the Scale Models forum?

Over-hopeful? Yes
Creative? Yes
Council? Definitely

It is council but I live the model Wenbley stadium. It reflects pride - misplaced and Chavvy - but also a bit of hard work that has gone into it.

I note they've done both the old and new stadium smile

Driving back through Essex the other weekend and saw a sign for an open air market on an airfield.

Was in no particular hurry so thought I'd stop off and have a look around - was anticipating a farmer's market type of affair, perhaps with some decent cheese or meat.

It really, really wasn't, in fact it could have been the council motherlode!! Not seen anything like some of the tat on sale before. Thought of this thread and managed to take a few photos.
