If you haven't been back to the match.com thread recently - Mat777's continuing attempts to chat up women on Tinder are cringingly hilarious
Everything about the Match thread. It's the saddest corner of the site.
It's dark isn't it, went in for a look came out a bit depressed.

Grown men trying to help that attention we Matt get laid, good luck with that one chaps.

It's the 'experts' giving the advice who are the most embarrassing, totally unaware how it all sounds to those of us who actually go outside from time to time.

rofl only on PH would someone describe 28m as fairly limited.

As a side note, I think the "lucky b********" is actually on here! I'm sure there was a thread about a Lambo he owned.
In context of the word fortune it makes a lot more sense though. He's probably spent around a 1/3 of it on cars, so yes, it is quite a large part of that fortune.
That's what he made selling his business, I'm sure he has amassed more since then/had some behind him when he started.

But he wasn't referring to the percentage spent, he just said it was a limited fortune. That's a ridiculous statement on it's own.
Not necessarily, I think the point was differentiating between those whose fortune means you don't even think about looking at the bank and someone who is using a relatively high percentage of it on something. It is a fortune, but as fortunes go it doesn't put you into the league of big yachts etc, so it would be limiting in that sense. If he'd said a limited amount of money then yes, you'd have a point.

Really? I thought a lot of people on here spent all their time looking for posts to complain about as being cringy? Which tends to be copy and paste of any post with "pull the trigger", someone talking about getting an expensive product or discussing dating. Still, it's good that they're not like those people, is it? wink

More cringe.

From the guy who was desperate to shoehorn in the 5* hotel reference too, if I remember correctly.

You're getting good at these.

Really?!

Someone's going to have to point out the cringe there to me, I really don't see it. I have no idea of the context but what's cringey about saying a PHer is a friend and (apparently) a customer?

Someone says I think Mr X is Mr Y

Someone who obviously counts Mr Y as a friend and customer states exactly that and its cringe?

How?

Race is a particularly outdated concept, in a 21st century global village it's also entirely meaningless for any reason other than as a means to segregate. I think it's a fairly noble aim to remove the concept of race from discourse, don't you?

You don't understand 'global village', 'means to segregate' 'noble aim' and 'remove the concept of race from discourse' is cringey?

Do you or your close circle normally talk like complete twits?

Has to be a circle of one. Mattnunn is absolutely mental.

Global village, eh? Do I surf the world wide web to get there?

I have to say that I don't find them particularly cringey, perhaps "Global Village" a little bit but the rest are just English words used fairly appropriately. It's hardly "closing a personal watch-owning arc".
