Well the forecasters missed this one! About an inch on the Bucks/Oxon boarder and still coming down heavily. Not really settling on the roads though, so all good!
Same in Stokenchurch (3 inch, still snowing). My son was hoping for a snow day, but we sent him to school anyway Good news after this morning's surprise snow - it's uphill from here!
The high pressure to our west which is bringing down the northerly winds will move across the UK - most likely end up with a slack easterly. There's not much cold to our east, so temps will be around average.
Dry, settled - not warm, but very pleasant in the sun. Frost threat should end around the weekend (we have a LOT of pruning/planting to catch up on...)

Praise the lord. It’s seemed like winter with longer days recently. The high pressure to our west which is bringing down the northerly winds will move across the UK - most likely end up with a slack easterly. There's not much cold to our east, so temps will be around average.

Thank heavens, the nights have been very cold in my part of Surrey. Too late for my Magnolia tree this year. Worst April I can recall for it, flowers destroyed before they even opened.Been too cold at night for the local toad mating season too.

Great news, I think today was the first day in over a week that we didn't wake up to fresh snow here in Aberdeenshire. I did get a couple of days XC skiing in the forest so not all bad but definitely ready for summer now.
6" of snow predicted for Colorado over the next few days. A little late in the season but not unheard of. A bit annoying as I've just planted two trees to replace winter casualties.
I'll be going out with a broom at regular intervals to knock the snow off them, just to cement my neighbours view of me. And because I'm tired of digging the bloody things out when they die.
