It's been a lovely hot day here in mid Kent, although quite humid this afternoon.

The wind has now picked up, sky's gone grey, quite a hard shower, and the feeling that something might be brewing. smile
It's here! woohoo

Edit: yikes

I love lighningmaps.org ! I'm watching it heading for the south coast and I can see the distant flashes out in the channel from the window.

Wow it’s all kicking off over Rochester!

Just ran upstairs as heard a massive thump, thought my son had climbed out of his cot, only to find him fast asleep, was just a really close thunderclap that made the floor shake :-0

Yep, constant lightning flashes heading towards the Essex/London border.

Can’t hear thunder yet but it certainly looks like it’ll be a big one when it gets here.

Pretty much constant thunder and lightning every few seconds for the last half hour here in Bromley, not that much rain though...

Looks like it’s heading east north east from here so it should be with you in Surrey soon enough...

This electrical storm in London is crazy; intensified in the last 10 minutes to the point where it's like someone flashing their headlights at you every 5 seconds!

Well that has to be one of the best thunder and lightning storms I have every seen in the UK, its just easing off now but spectacular lighting and some serious thunder claps, love it.

I love on the edge of Croydon

Pretty impressive electrical storm over Eastbourne at the moment; multiple lightning flashes every second, constant background thunder, fantastic!

It died down and seem to pass us by a little to the west in Kent.

But I've just looked out of a back window for the first time in about an hour and round two is here, and it looks a bit naughty! eek
