These days the big issue with Jews and anti semitism is with 'the state of Israel' being a land grab from the Arabs. Cobynites are friends of Hamas so no wonder.
I usually give you the benefit of the doubt because you can usually enunciate yourself clearly enough in an argument... But that is utter bks.

Considering that in 1946... the land wasn't Arab, it was British. We took it from the Ottoman Turks in WWI. It hasn't been Arab held in centuries.

I view the Palestinians as being just as culpable as the Israelis in that conflict. Each time the Palestinians lost land, it was due to a conflict they lost. Even when they regained the land via negotiation they were daft enough to get into another conflict over it. Same goes for the other Arab nations, Egypt lost the Sinai in the 6 day war, but Israel gave it back via negotiation (they never returned the Golan heights to Lebanon... but that's for obvious reasons).

Antisemitism in western nations is almost always either racially based (I.E. KKK-style) or the old trope of "jew bankers".

Not sure why you needed to say anything about Corbyn... but that just makes you sound unhinged and unattached to reality.
having lived most of my life in West Yorkshire, an incredibly racist part of the country, I can honestly say I have never once heard anything anti-semetic.

Jews are just not talked about. Every other race/religion is fair game, but never have I heard a single anti-semetic thing.

I can only imagine London is quite different. And as such the London-centric BBC wants to tell us that what is happening in London must be the same across the rest of the country and so we are all anti-semetic.

Given that the main thrust of anti-Semitism is usually references to meanness with money, I suppose that wouldn't really work in Yorkshire, where they generally wouldn't give you the steam of their tea!

'Corbynite' sounds like Kryptonite so is one also an undesirable element?

Merely asking.

Yes, and both can be deadly. Doh, have I started a Superman/Corbyn argument now?

did all the Jewish people not desert places like Leeds etc in the 50s and 60s? I know many of the previously Jewish areas are now Afro-Caribbean etc.

I have an unease about IVF treatment and also homosexual couples having children via a surrogate. I don’t think this world is short of people so when it comes to having kids IMO if it’s not to be, it’s not to be.

Adoption is different, an endeavour which in my opinion should be far more appreciated and given more resources.

I have lived my whole life in Surrey, a large portion of my working life has been within the M25, I visit London regularly, I too have never, ever heard anything anti semetic or anything bordering on being anti semetic.

you may get st for this one but I agree.

There are definitely too many people. I'm a hetro and I under no circumstances would bring more children into this over crowded world. Adoption if I decided to change my mind.

If it didn't happen naturally (and I wanted it) I absolutely would never seek a medical solution.

"Social housing" on private housing estates should be abolished. There's nothing worse than working your arse off to purchase your first home only for some anti-social scumbag, work shy to move in a few doors down!

Bring back council estates so the great unwashed, work shy, anti-social, breeding st s can all live together away from the decent majority of hard working tax payers.

Maybe, maybe not. A lot of opinion reaction on here (if genuine) does sometimes surprise me.

Do you feel the same way about all modern medicine?

I mean, if you get cancer, it's just not meant to be for you.
I don’t really see the parallel, you’re talking preserving life and I’m talking creating life.

That's a very good point, surely not treating people who are ill would also help reduce the population. Personally I'd incentivise extreme sports for the elderly.

"Social Housing" provides homes for those who might otherwise be homeless or living in overcrowded slums. It tries to ensure that children/families can try to have a decent life rather than being thrown on the scrapheap.. Not al SH residents are scum. many try to improve their lot but the media doesn't tend to report on people like that.

I hate Yankee Candles and all of a similar ilk..

Every woman I know has at least half a dozen scattered around the house...
Giving and receiving candles seems to have more effect than a diamond ring.. Oh great another fking candle!!!
I have never seen one which has burned correctly and used all the wax in the jar.
They are hideously wasteful and inefficient and probably difficult to recycle.
It's impossible to light them without burning your fingers trying to get a match into the opening..

It's a runaway marketing success and the firm's owners must have laughed all the way to the bank..
