Came out of the flat to come home and I've got a flat tyre!!! Tentatively try some air in it, get a few miles and I can hear it's losing air so we pull over and swap it for the spare, once off the car I can see the hole in it, it looks like something has punctured it and then come out of the tyre!!!

Ah, yes, a bit too close to the shoulder for safety by the sound of it.
Does Hamble le Rice have a decent chippy or did you order from further afield??
Gosport, via Uber Eats or somesuch modern convolution?
We are in the unfortunate position of having a very good fish and chip shop that also does burgers and kebabs, a Chinese takeaway and an Indian restaurant who do takeaways all just up the road from us!!! Couple that with five decent pubs, an Italian and a Thai restaurant all 5 minutes drive away in the village and we're spoilt for choice!!!! For signing important documents I use my trusty No4 quill, for everything else I use any pen I happen to have laying around!!!!
Aha, the Pen #4 quill is a fine implement. Any pictures as I haven't seen one for some time?As I say, I only use it for official documents!!!

All ordered old chap, apparently the bill comes to £341.27!!!
Never mind, Bobbers, you'll just have to work a bit more overtime...Morning chaps
It appears to be a beautiful sunny morning outside, and we're going to spend it inside painting!!!
Oh well at least we have a day off tomorrow, I plan to spend the whole day in the garden tomorrow, mowing, strimming, BBQing and drinking, well certainly drinking from early afternoon onwards!!!
I noticed that you said that you were a prolific pen Turner PB, and you've since mentioned that those pens were commissions, what lathe do you use for your turning? My first job where I was on a YTS scheme was Southampton University chemistry department, my trainer was a fantastic chap called Brian Woods who used a little Myford 7 lathe to turn wooden pens fir his wife to sell!!!
You have a lovely selection of machinery there PB, and obviously more than enough skill to use them!!
I've tried wood turning but being a ham fisted heathen I find it too soft for me to work with!!!
Oh well lunch break over, Mrs Bobbers is tutting and staring, this probably means "get on with it!!"

Apparently a sponge will take too long.......
Fortunately we don't suffer such dilemmas here. A good two drawers of the freezer are occupied by ice cream and "emergency" desserts of some form, there's also a cupboard dedicated to tinned rice pudding, custard and sponge puddings.Martyrs to emergency puddings, we are. Bloody martyrs.

You can make a sponge in a microwave in a few minutes.https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/microwave-mug-...
