Came out of the flat to come home and I've got a flat tyre!!! Tentatively try some air in it, get a few miles and I can hear it's losing air so we pull over and swap it for the spare, once off the car I can see the hole in it, it looks like something has punctured it and then come out of the tyre!!! frown
Out of the flat to find a flat! Double Whammy.
Sadly so nonseq!!!

Ah, yes, a bit too close to the shoulder for safety by the sound of it.

Does Hamble le Rice have a decent chippy or did you order from further afield??

Gosport, via Uber Eats or somesuch modern convolution?
We are in the unfortunate position of having a very good fish and chip shop that also does burgers and kebabs, a Chinese takeaway and an Indian restaurant who do takeaways all just up the road from us!!! Couple that with five decent pubs, an Italian and a Thai restaurant all 5 minutes drive away in the village and we're spoilt for choice!!!! smile

As a few of you know I have a bit of a penchant for sharp slashy stabby things, I really fancy a Fairbairn Sykes but can't decide between the black original version or the stainless and brass presentation version......

Morning chaps wavey
It appears to be a beautiful sunny morning outside, and we're going to spend it inside painting!!! grumpy
Oh well at least we have a day off tomorrow, I plan to spend the whole day in the garden tomorrow, mowing, strimming, BBQing and drinking, well certainly drinking from early afternoon onwards!!!

I noticed that you said that you were a prolific pen Turner PB, and you've since mentioned that those pens were commissions, what lathe do you use for your turning? My first job where I was on a YTS scheme was Southampton University chemistry department, my trainer was a fantastic chap called Brian Woods who used a little Myford 7 lathe to turn wooden pens fir his wife to sell!!!

Just a bolt action, retractable pen, as opposed to twist or clicky

What's stopping you? Brass is a great material to work with, incredibly stable while being machined, soft enough to be easily machined the only issue is it tarnishes easily!!!

Fortunately we don't suffer such dilemmas here. A good two drawers of the freezer are occupied by ice cream and "emergency" desserts of some form, there's also a cupboard dedicated to tinned rice pudding, custard and sponge puddings.

Martyrs to emergency puddings, we are. Bloody martyrs.
Not martyrs old chap, specialist pre planning forward thinkers!!! bow

You can make a sponge in a microwave in a few minutes.

True, however Mrs Bobbers is a bit of a purity Baker type, i fear even suggesting that would earn me a belt around the head, she is from Gosport remember!!!

Trivton Mess lick
A great suggestion other than the fact we're missing a few of the ingredients, namely cream, strawberries and meringue!!!
