Wordle - Query re different words on same day

Quite tricky but at least a word I’ve heard of unlike egret from the weekend and some others.

Bad luck to her, I was gutted when my streak came to an end when I missed a day because I was busy. I’d assumed a streak was for the games you started.

Despite getting 124 early on I just couldn’t work it out til row 6. I really struggled.

This game really shouldn’t be that difficult (aka I’m thicker than I thought I was). I’m useless at scrabble too, just can’t see words in random letters.

I don’t think so. I think there is something like 10000 five letter words. A minority of those will be in common use, the majority will be on an ever increasing level of obscurity.
I can’t see why they’d benefit from making it harder, if anything they want to keep you hooked by making sure you get it everyday else you’ll give up if unsuccessful too often.

Having got 245 early on, there are then endless combinations using those letters.

Damnation. Lost my streak of 52 today. Got 1235 early on but too many options for letter 4.

Only previous time I’ve lost a streak is when I didn’t play for a day, didn’t know I’d lose my streak for not playing, assumed you lost streak only when getting it wrong.

Cleared my iPhone browsing history today. It deleted all my wordle stats too even though that site was open in a tab so not history as such. Suppose I should open a New York Times account to save stats there.

Joined - though it seems a bit of a faff to have to manually add the scores each day.

And it was a 5 today!

I’d assumed you could use the share feature in wordle but maybe not?
I’ll not join if it’s a manual thing each day… another thing to forget to do !
