I'm looking to buy my mum & dad a surround sound / speaker set-up as a Christmas present for their new house (they're moving in February)
Can anyone recommend a nice setup that you've maybe seen somewhere on the black Friday deals? Thanks!

I'm looking for a Eufy Robovac 11c, a robot vacuum.
I got one a few months back on 'prime day' for £180, but amazon now want £260 for one, and my mother would quite like one so I'm gonna get her one for Christmas.
Not for £260 I'm not though!
That's the whole way Amazon works, they raise all the prices before a sale back to RRP, them when the sale starts and they reduce it to £180 they can claim your getting a massive £80 saving in the sale. Whereas in reality most of the year they are on sale for 200-210*
(*havent checked the actual figures for your vacuum - just for examples sake)

So the week long sale has started on Amazon today. I'm after some LED downlighters, I'm pretty sure they are GU10 but I'll check tonight. Also up for getting some Christmas shopping done for a bit cheaper
I bought 40 GU10's from LED Hut recently (around £1.50 each). Excellent service. I have nothing to do with the company but offer my experience as a customer. My downstairs is now as bright as you like!JM

It would really depend on the budget and what type of speakers etc. they can accommodate. Do they have several sources to connect up etc.? Could you run cables before they move in? The best sounding option is an AV Receiver and some 5.1 / 7.1 speakers but not everyone likes the idea or look of a great hulking black AV receiver and speakers all around the room and then there's running cables to the speakers. Some prefer more 'lifestyle' orientated options like soundbars etc.Can anyone recommend a nice setup that you've maybe seen somewhere on the black Friday deals? Thanks!

You can't really go wrong with Yamaha/Denon and the likes of Q-Acoustics for speakers for starters. You would need to budget for cables and stands/brackets.

I bought some in the Lidl aisle of dreams at the weekend which were £1.99 each and a lot better than expensive ones I bought previously.mcg_ said:

After a new laptop for OH, not much really jumping out though, tried the usual suspect, Curry's/PC world (disappointing this year IMO), Argos, AO, Ebay. Any other suggestions? Budget is around £400.
Cheers

My default for that budget is normally the Dell outlet store though.
