Went yesterday afternoon in Swanage, it was rammed near town but not too bad further along. Might go again today but friends are here with a dog who isn't great in the heat. Currently lying in a hammock under the trees while my wife does some gardening.

Despite being 3 miles away from the nearest Cornish beach and tens of them in the local area, i for one will be avoiding them like the plague.
Last time we took the dog to the beach was beginning of last week in the Cornish 'mizzle' and it was great.
Nice and nearly empty.
Roll on end of September into October when the Emmett's have cleared off and there are still some warm, sunny days to enjoy peace and quite on our beaches.
Don't get too smug. Many & all sorts are deserting our cities especially Londonstani to seek refuge in the likes of Cornwall in the belief that such places are too far from what is so unpleasant about our country. So enjoy your sense of isolation from reality whilst you can. Last time we took the dog to the beach was beginning of last week in the Cornish 'mizzle' and it was great.
