Eggs - where did they go? Chickens don't stop laying and the restaurants won't want them, yet none in the shops.

Flour - ditto. Most of the bakeries are shut, but there is no flour to be found anywhere.
Eggs - we have chicken wink
Flour - picked up a 12kg bag on Tuesday wink
Yeast - no problem but I have had to switch the 'cake' yeast or bakers yeast for bread instead of the bread machine dried stuff. No problem once you get the ratio right.

Seeing as everyone wants to start their own virus related thread, I thought that I would make it my turn now.

What have you not been able to get hold of for love nor money during lockdown. At least possibly not for a normal price?

For me:

Concept 2 Rower - the manufacturer simply aren't making any at the moment. Every fitness supplier is cleaned out. Ebay is fully of scalpers.
Garden Shredder - just cleaned out everywhere. I guess everyone is trying to tidy their garden now!

And i am current debating getting a portable aircon unit. Lockdown and possible high temps doesn't seem like it's going to be much fun.
i could possibly help with the shredder .. what are you after ?

I can't get yeast. I was an early adopter of covid panic buying and even though I still had half a giant bag of flour i grabbed another at Costco as I knew I would use it eventually. Even now, on my hunt for yeast I have seen flour on the shelves a couple of times, but never yeast. One shop had a sign "ask at the front desk" and the guy slipped me 3 sachets like he was sorting me out with some meth or something!

Scumbags on amazon are charging about 8 times normal price for a jar.
Waitrose online still has plenty of yeast

Over here the demand for eggs has apparently plummeted they are euthanizing the birds.

Flour and yeast is so frustrating not being able to get.

Lawn mowers.

I have a 3x4m front lawn. I'm not paying over £130 to cut something that takes 5 mins.

Thank you Fore Left. You have saved me from being a social pariah. Both my neighbours cut their grass every other day.

I feared being called a leper.

Not arriving til the Monday after but still.

Single pints of milk. There are plenty in other sizes though, so god knows whats going on.
There's a massive oversupply of milk at the moment. Usual story, none of the industries are in a position to buy it and some dairy farmers are having to dump gallons of the stuff.
So it just isn't worthwhile in selling it to supermarkets in such small denominations.

The new iPad Pro...

My old 9.7” Pro only lasts about 3 hours on a charge now, so I thought I’d upgrade. I got it on the day it was released, so it’s just over four years old. Gets used every day, and recently it’s been hammered more than ever. You can watch the battery percentage dropping!

No stock of the 11” 128GB Pro in the UK seemingly. Even the Apple store has been quoting early May for weeks.

Ply is easy, just call around the independent builders merchants that are open. Or go to B&Q now irs reopened.

I wonder if it's to encourage people to buy larger sizes so that they don't have to go out so often.

My local chinese supermarket is still receiving stock but obviously very reduced as imports from the orient are devastated; so no Japanese or Thai branded condiments, curry sauces or noodles for me frown

Decking Oil, I had to order online and then ride to the ninth nearest DIY store to collect.
