This site lists loads of competitions if you fancy a go. www.theprizefinder.com
Is this the site you used to enter the 700 competitions?
Yup. You'll find that nearly every competition there is (magazine, tv, etc) will find its way onto there.

The thing with competitions is, you have to enter them.
Well yes, and give many companies your details for endless junk and spam in the future!

That's what puts me off the most!

ETA: The Best of the Best competitions always tempt me though!

Never won anything, my Mum once won a new Triumph Stag back in the day in a 'spot the ball' competition.

IIRC it was nice, for 5 seconds, then popped the head gasket and needed a new engine, was then off the road for about a year due to 70's communist Britain before anyone was available to fix it.

I won a free pair of trainers a few months ago, buying a mens shaving product.

The catch? I wear size 11. The trainers only went up to 10. Seriously, what is the point of sponsoring something manly, and then have small sizes (6-10) as a prize?

(I know I'm being grumpy, but I'm allowed to be).

Discounting ones I've entered inadvertantly (I get a text from Orange every so often explaining I haven't won a prize this month, I still have no idea what I should be winning) I have never bothered to enter a competition, ever. I know you've got to be in it to win it, but I can't see the point in expending what would amount to a fair amount of minutes filling in forms etc. Especially if you've entered 700 and not got a single result!

I've also never entered the lottery, yet I still dream of how I'd spend the millions...

Maybe (well, there is no maybe if I'm honest) I'm just pessimistic.

Mrs C has won a fair amount over the years, probably over £12k's worth (holidays, TVs but no car yet). You just have to enter a lot, she typically does between 100 and 250 a month.

Impressive haul, but how much time does that take a month? I'm not exactly working a 60 hour week with a demanding family, but I doubt I could find time to enter that many! (If I banned myself from viewing PH I probably could, but I don't want to! smile)

I won a trip on Concorde a few years back. Came back 1st Class on a Jumbo as well (which was nicer, imo).
More comfortable, yes. Quicker, no.

Not as long as you would think; she's got a name and address stamper for postcard competitions and does a fair few online now. Can't begrudge her doing this as we've had a number of holidays, a Loewe TV, PS3 etc.

I won one of the fifth gear competitions hence the name!

I tend not to talk about it, my life went downhill fast afterwards.
