Brace yourselves...
Please tell me those aren't all in the same house! What am I missing in the pic of the shutters? I can see it looks ridiculous but it's not as stupid as the bath or the curtain rails.

I'm not convinced the toilet on the right is connected, I think it's just been placed for the benefit of the picture.

The windows (the top one) aren’t level with the shutters. The tops and bottoms of the shutters, line up with different parts of the windows. What am I missing in the pic of the shutters? I can see it looks ridiculous but it's not as stupid as the bath or the curtain rails.

Not sure on that one. It depends on how old the child was and how many S's were in the packet of fridge magnets.Maybe it's just me, but the intention of such a plate is to hide the identification of the car and at a glance, you can't read it at all.
The car itself was fine, but I've seen more and more of these type of plates lately and this, along with some of the very dark window tints are something that just bugs me

It pisses me off too - it demonstrates that these people arrogantly think that the rules don't apply to them. The irony is also that it makes the car stand out more for the wrong reasons. The car itself was fine, but I've seen more and more of these type of plates lately and this, along with some of the very dark window tints are something that just bugs me
Dark tints on front windows (not that this particular Fiesta has them) are just downright dangerous in the dark and it's not like we live in a country where they're needed for 98% of the year. If I were trafpol I'd pull people for that sort of crap all the time and it would surely result in an MOT fail within 12 months anyway?

You can tint upto a certain percentage (dont have it to hand but google will help) before it becomes illegal. Never really seen the point in front tints but if people want to fair play. My car came with rear tints as standard and quite like the look.Dark tints on front windows (not that this particular Fiesta has them) are just downright dangerous in the dark and it's not like we live in a country where they're needed for 98% of the year. It's this:
I'd bet that this is the kind of person to say "I know my rights" and "why don't you go and nick a real criminal"...
Legal Guidance said:
If your vehicle has got tinted vehicle windows, the front windscreen must let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows 70%. There are no rules for tinting the rear windscreen or rear passenger windows
And legally, the plate must be a reflective yellow - This plate clearly isn't.I'd bet that this is the kind of person to say "I know my rights" and "why don't you go and nick a real criminal"...

You could be pulled over by the police and prosecuted for front tints > 25%, but that would require actual police on the road, which I think I last saw in 2005 or so.

It seems bizarre that something clearly defined as illegal to do isn't part of the MOT test for roadworthiness. Your car can fail an MOT test because it's too dirty whilst illegal tints will sail through...
Would take seconds to test VLT and either pass or fail the car. It would also move 'policing' of it to the MOT test which given that there aren't enough trafpol on the road these days could only be a good thing.

It shouldn't need policing on the roads or at the MOT ... I doubt there are many people with the patience or precision skills to DIY apply the tint film to a curved windscreen themselves ... it's the places doing it for customers that should be where it's stopped!Would take seconds to test VLT and either pass or fail the car.
