So I have watched all of the youtube reviews, love it but they sum it up (as many of the comments below do) - no one really knows what you would ever use it for!

Even if I used it whilst travelling, I would want a regular size laptop (even the 11" laptop I currently use on the road) when I arrived. So would need to then carry the standard one as well as this one, negating any point in having this tiny one.

Its cool, and I appreciate that for this thread it would be entirely frivolous but I think it would be a paperweight after 7 days.

Woke up this morning and remembered I bought this for my wife (on her request I hasten to add). Jura was involved in facilitating the purchase. drunkheadache

I've just accidentally bought a twin Xeon X5355 server motherboard that has 16 DIMM slots and can take up to 64GB of ECC DDR2 RAM to go in a 12 bay full tower case that I already own.

(In other news, I'll shortly be selling an HP N54L Microserver with 8GB RAM)
Hmm, could be time to upgrade the N40.
Turns out that it's a N40L that I have. I was sure it was an N54L but apparently not. frown

In other news, the twin Xeon motherboard is a proprietary EE-ATX size which won't fit my case or, indeed, any case other than one designed for it. It's going back (fortunately the seller accepts returns).

Now looking at spending 3 times as much on one that will fit (and has 44GB of ECC RAM and can go up to 96GB). Because you need that for a NAS. silly

Fantastic! Keep dreaming about getting an Africa Twin, but it's just a dream, Mrs P would kill me!

As she beat me in a race Caterham around Bedford on a Jonathan Palmer day, and her brother is a Motocross Expert rider, she would probably catch me and beat me on a bike too!

I'll keep dreaming!

For those office workers on here who have no access to Facebook due to stringent IT policies, would you be able to give us a clue?

It's a big keyboard Enter button that you put next to your keyboard and bash it. I presume it links to your keyboard somehow so when you hit it it does actually press enter.

This seems like the most appropriate place to post what I'm after given the slightly frivolous nature of what I want.

I used to have a projector lamp sort of thing that project a swirling blue cloud type pattern onto the ceiling with red laser dots moving around in it. When my lad was a baby we called it the "magic sleep lantern" for reasons which are self-explanatory.

I can't remember what happened to it but we may have chucked it in a house move as one of the telescopic legs had snapped off but I'd quite like a new one and can't find anything quite like it anywhere. I looked on firebox.com which is where the original came from and they do have some projector lamps on there (also available cheaper elsewhere) but nothing quite like what I had. Anyone got any ideas as to where I could find something appropriate?

Nice shot, Bullett but not quite.

Mine was a white orb about 5" diameter on three telescopic metal legs (think ghetto blaster aerials and you'll not be far wrong). It was altogether more sedate that the stage-type equipment. The sort of thing I may have used in conjunction with Goldfrapp and wine in my younger, more single days...

ETA: It was a bit like this but looked like better quality. I'm loathe to buy one of these in case it's a big disappointment:

Most desktop computers cope quite happily with multiple keyboards, and indeed multiple mouses, connected at the same time. So I would imagine that it connects as a USB keyboard and is only capable of sending the "enter" code.

An old flatmate had one, it was actually pretty decent for the money. His cat went absolutely nuts for it as well
