Or, as we call it in the UK, Thursday. smile
Give it another ten years and it'll be mainstream in the UK (after sufficient pressure from food and drink retailers to get behind another gorge-fest). In fact with 'black Friday' we've evolved quicker and gone straight to the checkout.

I was shopping in Basingstoke (Amazingstoke) today, and my fundamental question was how much money it cost to put up signs for Black Friday and (in many cases) re-pricing every single item and/or putting up signs left, right, and centre.

I mean, fair play if they make a profit. Yay Capitalism. \o/

The story above has SO many holes in it - for a start Viking wasn't a rover, and it didn't carry a camera capable of capturing moving images
That is what they want you to think...

I always have a wry smile when I seen the dog walkers with their dog lead in one hand and a little bag of st in the other.
Its good to see that they are being responsible dog owners but FFS they must really love 'em to scoop up a freshly dropped, warm turd and carry it in a thin bag alongside them.
Many dog walkers in my vacinity leave a recently filled poo bag on the verges or hanging on a tree.(think about it), with the intention of retrieving them on the way back home.
Many are forgotten, and lie on the grass or swing gently on a tree branch.(think about that).

1 - Being stuck behind some douche at a checkout till and they start chin wagging with the cashier after they have paid - they should just pay up and fk off.

2 - Walking into a shop or whatever but having to walk through the plumes of cigarette smoke being puffed out by smokers lurking at the entrance.

3 - soggy chips

yes

This mostly seems to happen in M&S food shops where the till staff have clearly been told to be extra warm and friendly. Trouble is this extra-friendliness often sparks pointless conversations which leave the likes of you and me grinding our fillings down in frustration.

The others are the ones that take everything out of their wallet/purse and then spend the next week (so it seems) to insert and arrange their change. shout move away and do it elsewhere!

Charities that send me begging letters indicating how much of a "minimum" donation they want me to pay. For example, Concern Worldwide want a "minimum" of 17 quid.

Ask them what your IP address is. It throws them completely.

I get them calling me about the Accident I've had in the last 3yrs rage

There should be a law against these scumbags / call centers. Its OK if you still have your memory, but these calls scare the life out of many Old people. rage
