Hey Bobbers! I just popped back and dropped a wilfully ignorant post over on the annoying thread.
I am such a naughty boy!
But it's better than being a Cynic.
I would think most things were better than being either of them!!! I am such a naughty boy!
But it's better than being a Cynic.
ION we have a new system for ordering from the stores, we'll now be doing it electronically by generating an order on the stores website which will then be forwarded to our team leader to approve, who only has an approved limit of £50, which is about enough for a handful of the tool tips we use, so if I need one of our big carbide roughing cutters it will have to go to my manager for approval who has an approved spend of £250, which still isn't enough as they cost £279 each so it will have to go to the machine shop manager, who is never at his desk as he's always in some meeting or another, I think this will work just fine, what could possibly go wrong?!?!?!?!
Marvellous stuff there Bobbers.
Why stick with a system that has worked efficiently for ages, when you can simply adopt a new multi-tier computerised approach that is totally infallible and changes from 1 step to 4 steps, ending up where nobody is the least bit interested in taking the required action, even if they are actually there.
It should save a fortune!
Happy days!

Exactly!!! Why on earth would we want to just carry on as normal when we can involve a computer system and three more people!!!Why stick with a system that has worked efficiently for ages, when you can simply adopt a new multi-tier computerised approach that is totally infallible and changes from 1 step to 4 steps, ending up where nobody is the least bit interested in taking the required action, even if they are actually there.

You could always tell the Production Manager he needs to order one from GrindR...
I have my reservations about him as it is............"...so if I need one of those big carbide roughing cutters. ... "
