I know they are beholden to their shareholders and should maximise profits, but I do wish supermarkets would instruct their security guards to refuse entry people who aren't dressed. It's unbelievably slovenly behaviour to go shopping, no, sorry, to step outside your front door, in nightwear.
whilst i do think its chavish. id rather someone have clothing on then have next to nothing on (or a guy go in topless). what they wear isn't much of a concern to me, their behaviour is.

Not having £1 to release the trolley so using one of the specialised baby trolleys / wheel chair trolleys instead.

(Shopping where you have to use £1 to release the trolley because no one puts them away otherwise)

I'm sure I saw a sign once in a hot summer that men should be wearing a shirt in the supermarket and entry could be refused.

This was my local Asda.

look like the sort who has never worked in his life and is a carer for his wife. Also freeman of the land membership holder.

I remember working in retail years ago and the company went from having free trolleys to charging a pound so they din't end up being spun into someones car, the road or the local river.

It made little or no difference, for the sake of a pound coin a lot of people wouldn't walk the length of themselves to get it back. Some even ask for the lend of a pound at customer services and the never bothered bringing it back the lazy thieving tramps.

I have a couple of 'trolley tokens', one's a Sainsbury's own that I keep in the centre consul. saves me having a pound coin every time I go shopping. But I was brought up in a Council Estate, so I don't fkin care if having a trolley token makes me Council in someone else's eyes, cos I probably am!! So There!! ranting

I do the food shop in our house

I make about 10 a month rounding up abandoned trolleys from Aldi car park where I shop

Sadly I think this is because Asda over the road doesn’t charge and people trying out Aldi forget and just abandon the trolley, so my extra income is slowly drying up now people are learning.

When I was a trolley boy at Sainsbury’s I made about 10 a shift from people who’d forgotten / too lazy and where people had dropped their pound under the parked trolleys and couldn’t retrieve it

I use those tokens, because i very rarely have any change on me.

I guess fewer and fewer people are carrying coins.
