Put on this song and got my strut on. Bought flowers, a bottle of wine and a bar of chocolate for Mum. Felt cool!

Today? Happy...? Absolutely nothing.

It's been gloomy, wet and miserable all day and I'm still recovering from a back injury so couldn't put the battery back in the Riley. irked

A grey few days (in my mind and weather) ended tonight with a smile on my face. Did a few easy jobs that had the potential to really faff and they went 100% to plan. I call that an absolute win and I’m happy I can tick a few things off the to do list.

First Mother's Day since my own mum passed at the end of December so I was particularly happy that our boys (ages 9 and 7) made a nice fuss and behaved themselves very well for their mum today - proud dad day smile

Made this kitchen roll holder from some leftover pipe and fittings. Shined up and just given it a lick of tung oil to try and keep the shine. Pleased as punch with that!
