Show us your new shoes
Discussion
I know the spirit of this thread is to show your new shoes, but I've a related question: when are you meant to replace a shoe? I know it's possible to resole shoes, but I'm talking about a shoe that's glued together, like a trainer or a cheaper shoe. I'm guessing, though I could be wrong, that's more obvious when a shoe should be resoled. If my assumption is wrong, by all means, enlighten me on that as well.
Just bought these, Loake Errington, and invested in a couple of pairs of shoe trees and decent shoe cream and polish from Saphir.
They will be worn occasionally with suits, maybe once or twice a week, so can hopefully keep them in decent condition for a while.
The Design range these are from is produced in India rather than Northampton so are cheaper (£175) and presumably not as good quality (?) as the rest of the Loake range. However, they were only a tenner more than I paid for a couple of pairs of Ted Baker boots and they certainly feel much better quality than those.
Edited to provide generic photo rather than a link to my entire Photobuckert library

I've not had a chance to try out the Salomans yet, felt comfy trotting round SweatShop in them though. They seem to be very popular at our local Parkrun, have one of the most aggressive treads I've seen. Those Inov8's looks grippy too.

I always find the insides give up before the outside, sweaty feet I guess.VEA said:
Got to ask, how much do you spend on trainers and how many pairs have you got?
Cant really put a price on how much I spend, some months i wont buy any, then this month I have bought about 5 pairs, also they vary alot in price from as little as £40 to £350 I have spent, Prob have about 80 pairs roughly now but not sureThing is I wear them but keep them in good condition so generally they are all gonna be worth what I paid for them or more if/when i end up selling up.

Adidas Jeans MKII, first time they have been reissued, official release mid December for anyone interested
I've never got the love for the Jeans, to be honest. Did you get them from that guy that has various stuff available pre release in various sizes?Adidas Jeans MKII, first time they have been reissued, official release mid December for anyone interested
Had to send the ZX Flux I ordered back as they just looked a bit chunky unless I was wearing really tight tracksuit bottoms, which I don't do that often! Ordered the same N**E in a different colour (the shame) but to redress the balance, I've ordered a pair of Gore Tex Hamburgs - I'll definitely post up some pics when they arrive, hopefully it won't take 8 days again!

I thought I read Offspring had them up prematurely, resulting in pairs being sold and delivered. Maybe I got that wrong; it came from an Instagram comment. The Jeans look alright to me but they seem to have an awful lot more love than I would've expected. I'm considering ordering a pair of the reddish-orange Milanos from Scotts' or JD, but I'm struggling to figure out if the colour is red or orange. Plus, I'd quite fancy a pair of Trimm-Trabs if one was to come up. This will probably end with me ordering neither. :P

What size are you Levin? I've got some Argentina colourway Trimms that I was planning on selling at the end of next week - one thing I've noticed is how none of my stuff sells leading up to payday, so I don't bother listing until around the 26-28th (depending when the last working day of the month falls) and then I usually get asked to hold until payday The Jeans look alright to me but they seem to have an awful lot more love than I would've expected. I'm usually between a 9 and a 10, depending on the shoe and how it fits. Most of the Adidas styles I've tried (Gazelle / Samba / Milano / Stan Smith*) would be leaning towards a 10.- = I could probably have gotten away with a 9 in the Stans but the 10 is fine enough.

Thanks for the heads up, I thought they were a reddish-orange. Might have to give them serious thought now I know that.Levin said:
