My Dad worked on power stations all his working life.

Coal, oil, nuclear and later gas.

For my fiftieth I was going to Chernobyl with him, was anyway.

They do tours now.

See my previous comments regarding that idea. I seem to recall either reading somewhere or someone saying as long as you don't step off the main road you're fine, the minute you do you run the risk of contamination.

I contribute in a small way to an Irish charity that takes aid to Chernobyl in the form of a convoy of trucks and vans carrying goods and materials to help orphanage and people there that get no help from their own government.
Hopefully this year they will construct a small medical center.

Did either of you watch the Sky drama Chernobyl? Absolutely brilliant and devastating at the same time!!!

It's Mrs Bobbers 50th next year, she's finally decided where she wants to go on holiday for it, now we're struggling to find somewhere to stay!!!

Exactly, Bobbers. I bet the luminous dials of your watch collection are chucking out more microperverts than that Russkie sub.

I hope you remember to keep the lead shielding in your wonderpants.

Morning chaps coffee
Absolutely knackered this morning, aching, tired, woke up several times, dreamt of glow in the dark submarines and psycos with cleavers!!!!

After translating from German to English and then decoding it with my out of date codebook it reads, "Dogger, slight, blustering, North Northeast, Labradoodle"..............confused

Morning all.

The plumber arrived yesterday afternoon and pronounced the leaking tap dead. Handily he had a replacement in his van and fixed it in no time at all. He could probably have fixed that sub, given an hour or two.

I have some gardening planned for today, weather permitting.

That's all for now.

My codebook is also out of date: readit

It's about time Q sorted out the new revised edition for us here in the field and Pushfit in the ditch.
Comms are difficult enough as it is, without being able to have a clue about whatever it is we are supposed to be on about.
Are we all on the same page?
confused
I doubt it very lots.

Furthermore, where does Mrs. Bobbers want to go for her holiday this year?
scratchchin Surely not Chernobyl?
Wylfa is much nicer, and has lower radiation levels if you know where to shelter.
