Half the fence has fallen over.

The house builder's profit margins were so razor thin they couldn't have a lad knock all of the posts only into the ground.

40-50 knot winds down here in the Purbecks, not that you'd know it in the garden as we're sheltered from the north and west.

Very wet sleet in Leicester, no chance of it settling on soggy ground.

Must be localised then as I’m in Leicestershire, only had this for the last 10-15 minutes and I doubt it will carry on much longer.

Chez Vegas weather report:

No snow at 3 when I went for a pee but quite a covering now and still falling. Looks slushy though.

Any sign of Colin?
Chesterfield'ish - About 1/2" of snow, yay. SNOW ! biggrin

Not been out in it, just let the dog out for a wee and looked out the window.

[edit] Looking out the window, it is coming down quite heavily now... clap

I'm near the town centre or 'slush city' as it now is. frown
Quite a bit at Marsh Lane, numerous stranded cars.

The huge golf ball flakes have now gone and it’s normal flakes dropping, still settling though. I’m not looking forward to sitting at the KP for 2 hours tomorrow afternoon now. frown

Sleet and snow on and off since about 8:30 this morning, won't amount to anything. Rough night on the wind front, from what I've seen out of the windows everything appears intact and still in its place - surprising for a new-ish build. Downside of being in a new-ish build is just over the hedgerow is a construction site with the next 1 million houses being built and the strong wind has been blowing stuff all over the place and making a racket all night where the builders have just left stuff strewn all over. Patchy sleep at best, head not happy.

Trees blocking roads all around the area, nothing new for being rural.

Forest of Doom (Dean) checking out.

Macclesfield Weather Cam at Higher Sutton (full colour image)

The Cat and Fiddle camera has been snowblasted, so not much of a view.

Still very windy in Queensbury, West Yorkshire.
Temp around freezing. Some interesting new sculptures in the garden.

North Bucks latest...plant pot fallen over. Crazy woman on Facebook says there's lots of twigs on the roads and to drive carefully.

Mid-Staffordshire - 2” - 3” at low level, but very wet and slushy. However, it must have got pretty cold with some elevation, as a local main road (A51) is blocked with cars that can’t get down a gentle hill, as the snow has compacted and turned to ice.

Otherwise, the biggest problem is drivers that think that 1” of slush in the gutter of an otherwise clear road means they have to drive at 15mph (including a Range Rover…)

The M62 is still closed as there’s hundreds of lorries stuck on it.

We are in that Welsh Wales in Snowdonia but can see a traffic jam outside our house as a fried a few doors up has had a conifer fall in the road. My next door neighbour just sent me this …

We have 11 trees much bigger than that in the front garden - luckily they’re deciduous and they’ve shed their leaves and aren’t as exposed. I’ve spent all night bricking it that one comes down on my garage and squashes all my bikes/car.
