Phew! That's good news. For a moment there I thought I might have to go out and buy some lemon squash on my way to mount a heroic single-handed rescue operation. I even had a brief fantasy about appearing in the local newspaper, and being presented with a certificate of recognition at the local Civic Centre...

...but it wasn't to be, as I realised I wouldn't be able to anyway. I only have a front wheel drive hatchback, without livery or amber warning lights. Which would obviously fall foul of the Walter Mitty 4x4 Response Service operating code, subsection 4, paragraph 2.3, appendix B, and I'd likely find myself uninsured and in a great deal of bother.

I mean, they just wouldn't tolerate a well-intentioned amateur turning up and stealing the limelight now, would they?
