Trying to decide whether i want an in car phone holder, my Pioneer headunit is App driven which means if i want to adjust anything i have to touch the phone, so thinking having it in a mount is the safer option!!

The system in my car's a bloody mystery to me, there's all manner of displays, menus and Christ knows what come up if I so much as glance at the bugger.
I'm sure if I made an effort it's probably capable of launching a missile from a warship in the South Pacific.

If she's out in the car with me Futtette can coax it into performing all sorts of astonishing feats,
if I'm on my own it mostly plays The Clash and Pink Floyd and that's it.

Sodding thing it is grumpy

I remember the advert for the car stating "HK Audio System"

I thought "Heckler & Koch? Marvellous, it'll sound like a G3 going up the road"

No such bloody luck grumpy

hehe
If i could figure out how to turn it on i have voice control on both the unit and the phone, but all the sound controls are done via the App, which is ok if you have the phone out in a holder or in your hand, which is illegal when driving, so to alter the bass or treble i have to access a menu, and then go into the 31 band parametric equalizer just to change the bass a bit!!! eek Luckily it has a nidiot setting which simplifies thatr to bass/mid/treble!!!! thumbup

I had a rare foray into the outside world yesterday, taking Mrs WS' car for an MOT test followed by a visit to Waitrose to buy some vittels. The trip to the end of the drive was something of an anticlimax.

Kate O’Mara and Joanna Lumley helped me through my teenage years.

I wonder what happened to them.

Now I'll have Pictures of Lily going through my head all day.

Could be worse, I suppose.

Pushfit's teenage years? I would say "Lola" would be more appropriate... scratchchin

IOTN, it's bin day here oop norf too:
I can hear the crashing of the cans & bottles being emptied into the bin lorry.
Not a moment too soon, our brown bin was absolutely chokka, despite the considerable restraint I have shown regarding my alcohol consumption over the past fortnight.
The paper and cardboard (blue bin) is still awaiting emptying by our steadfast covid-safe refuse collection key workers.

Isn't it all just too exciting? bouncewoohoo

Thanks chaps, we've already decided on visiting York and the railway museum, thanks for the heads up on Betty's slopes, it's somewhere we really want to go to!!!!
When you go to York, use the Park n Ride, parking is a nightmare to find and expensive too. The Park n Ride is great, we use it when we go there. There is a York Brewery not too far from the Railway Museum and used to be worth a visit for the tour. Betty's is also in York and there is usually a queue outside it but the one in Harrogate is the bigger and better one but not cheap.

Oh and there is a little Italian Restaurant in The Shambles in York that does incredible food and if you do go there, see if you can find the Devil in Stonegate but apparently it's unlucky to look into his eyes!
York Railway museum trivia alert - this is what it looked like in 1973 when it was still a working loco depot.... wink

ION, things at work are looking up, the workload has gone through the roof and the company are talking about expanding several depots, taking on additional drivers and shunters.

PS : Kate O'Mara and Joanna Lumley...? Not half. A mate and I often joke about being trapped in a lift with these two lovelies, along with Cheri Lungi and Jan Francis in their heydays. Sigh.

I spent absolutely ages trawling through my gallery to post pictures of some of the ladies who helped me through my formative years, and when I pressed "Submit", they refused and disappeared off into the ether. frown

Today’s student. I’m with him Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday next week.

At home now, drive back from Stourport was lovely, A roads all the way.

Beautiful part of the country, Kiddiminster, Bridgnorth, Telford, Market Drayton.

Great in a truck as a passenger.
