OK, a bit late to this, but here goes (all are true)

I've been in the Rolls Royce's of Ronnie Corbett, Sir Freddie Laker, Lord Shawcross and the infamous Radio1 DJ and ToTP presenter we no longer talk about (I only ever met him once, and at a distance, so all OK), which had the reg JS 247 - a blue Corniche convertible

I met David Jason at a model engineering fair and had a long chat with him about how dodgy Del Boy's gear was. A year later I bumped into Nicholas Lyndhurst in Harrods music department, he was less chatty.

I've met and talked to various motorsport legends at events including Murray Walker, David Coulthard and Sterling Moss

I've been driven around the Millbrook banked bowl by Erik Carlsson in a SAAB 900 Carlsson at 130mph, at which point he started rocking the steering to show how sure footed it was. He signed my Mr SAAB book

In the course of my previous work, I did a project for tree branch clearing systems for '351' Barry Lee and hung out with him a few times at Hyperion Motorsport in Witham. He showed me Senna's first Toleman-Hart unrestored in a corner. At around the same time, I was working with Will Gollop on a tailgate raise/lower system for his Metro 6R4 transport vehicle.

Met Keith Chegwin buying clothes in Oxford St with his Mum and Dad. He couldn't stop talking!

Met Sian Williams off the morning telly in Aldi - she was as surprised as me as I couldn't work out if it was really her. Natasha Kaplinsky in Tesco. She hadn't got her contact lenses in and needed help identifying some red wine. Michael Fish in Sainsburys and Stephen Webb (Gogglebox) in Waitrose - all local to me

Had a drink with Peter Grant (Led Zeppelin manager) and his entourage in a pub in Eastbourne. Very nice bloke, but he had probably mellowed after his earlier, rampaging years. He was still a giant of a man even in old age.

My best friend lived next door to Ed Bicknell (Dire Straits manager) who donated a Gold Disk of Brothers in Arms to the village fete as a raffle prize. I missed out on winning it by three numbers.....

My sister in law lives next door to the lead singer of Scarlet Fantastic, who had a one hit wonder 'No Memory' She's very tall

I went to college with brothers Eddie and John Smithson of The Mobiles who had another one hit wonder, 'Drowning in Berlin'. John Smithson used to crib my work (over my shoulder in English classes!)

Eddie Izzard stuck his head 'round my beach hut door last year while running back to Bexhill from Eastbourne

My stepsons girlfriend is a TV actress/singer who did a few years in one of the big Northern soaps (before being 'killed off') and a few episodes of the other big one, but nothing yet in the farming one. She also did series 7 of the Spanish hotel/holiday comedy. There is a video of her singing with Ed Sheeran (in person), somewhere on YouTube. She did one of the telly singing contests and got quite far into it (judge's pick)

There are more than the above, I just need to rack my brain a bit more

I bought some Christmas decorations from Paul Burrell in his little shop, in the village where I spent my childhood. It used to be a general store where I would sometimes buy sweets on the way home from school. The same Primary school that Bob Mills and Matt Hancock also went to.

The drummer from OMD also lived in the village, and Ricky Tomlinson had a riverside holiday chalet about half a mile upriver.

Get me.
I was on a speed awareness course with Ricky Tomlinson.

When I was a kid I stood next to my dad while he chatted to Barry Lee.

A girl I used to go out with 40 years ago lived next door to David Jason in North Finchley. He had a 2 bed apartment and drove a 911 back then.

20 years ago Pied Piper (the DJ) was a client. He had a SW20 MR2.

My son used to use Rod Stewart’s athletic support.

My boy buggered his cruciate ligament playing football. His physio also used to treat Rod. He left a knee support with the physio because he couldn’t get on with it. It was a very good piece of kit. The physio pulled it out of a drawer and said he could have it, but don’t tell anyone.

I was working on building the new entrance to the Royal Liverpool Hospital about 20 years ago and Ricky Tomlinson walked past going into the hospital. One of the lads shouted ‘Alright Ricky!”, he nodded at us.

One of the lads saw Jennifer Ellison on her way in to the hospital as well, I didn’t see her though.

It lies a-mouldering in the grave, but his soul goes marching on.

Father in law, after being a widower for many years, met a nice lady who took him to a friends fancy party in a posh house.
She was friends with Steve Harris (from Iron Maiden) when she was younger.

He had no idea who anyone was despite being given an Iron Maiden whisky gift and he didn't like the music at all.

Still complains about the music.
