I notice our self-styled military aviation expert has now appeared on the Falklands thread. I'd not read the name of the poster and still realised instantly who it was.

Nothing outrageous except the repeated reference to the Sidewinder missile as a "'winder". It really is making me grind my teeth.
And no long after giving someone pelters for casually referring to an 'SA80'.
What a steaming of a person.

When there's a picture of a car and someone posts a picture of another car that just happens to be the same colour, as if they think it is somehow a similar car.
You talking about the bloke who reckons the new 8 series looks like an A5 sportback? rofl

Cringeworthy *THINGS* , not people.

Can we not turn this into a witch hunt?

Unfortunately cringeworthy people do cringeworthy things making a lot of the above content relevant.

It must be said, there have been surprisingly few of these so far. I agree though, let's keep it (relatively) civil to avoid thread removal.

The moderation on here has just made me cringe.

I've just been banned from NP&E for a month for arguing, but I haven't argued with anyone at all. Only posted on the snap election thread, the Jeremy Corbyn thread and the May Vs Corbyn on telly thread today and at no point have I clashed with anyone, let alone been incredibly rude or sworn.

You get the repetitive wind up merchants in there saying the same stuff to provoke a reaction everyday (like yipper and the lefties) and we've all seen how Ginetta G15 Girl goes on the attack with personal insults and swearing when it suits her, but nothing is done about it.

What a joke.

A really great thread thanks to Shed.

Just hoping it doesn't get to the point of people wading in with 'well actually you'll find that the MK5 assault rifle actually had a slightly longer, chrome plated trigger than was found on the Mk4...'

You get the idea.

People are behaving quite nicely on that thread, I think out of respect to all that Sheddriver has posted. SD has taken the time to give us a timeline of what happened and people are chipping in to fill in the blanks and to give personal experiences of the conflict.

One of the best threads on PH and most people are deliberately not being antagonistic just for the sake of it.

People that refer to airline travel by booking codes. For example

We settled down in F. Monty and Tobias flew in J, they have to learn the world wont be handed to them on a plate. The nanny of course flew Y.

Cringe.

It makes me cringe when posters try to sound like WW2 fighter pilots by using some of the following:
She (when referring to a Car)
Fleet
Hoon
Pedal (even better when they are so stupid they spell it peddle)
Then there's:
Lump
Drop in a crate engine (usually into something far too small)
Strap on a turbo
Monkey Harris
Saying they have a classic but for some reason not saying what it is
He can drive (I think most of us on here can drive)
Moggie Minor

How about posting a thread and finishing with Discuss. (This is a forum, not GCSE history.)

I'll think of more later but if you can find it track down the estate agent on men behaving badly and the Harry Enfield sketch with the two middle aged men talking about cars and their wives.
I've corrected all of your mistakes Johnspex. It has to be said that for a wannabe spelling Nazi who obviously takes some sort of gratification from pointing out others' errors you are truly awful yourself.
FTFY.

Both ironic and cringeworthy. Try adding a comma next time.

It is pretty obvious that the whole point of the post in the first place was to highlight the mistakes made by Johnspex who likes nothing more than to point out where other posters go wrong themselves. I make no claims for my own ability to spell, or use grammar correctly, but you would think that an active spelling Nazi like Johnspex would at least try to cover his own back by being spot on? As such irony was a given, don't you think, and hardly worth the effort of you pointing it out?? And your opinion on it is irrelevant to me.

There is a thread over on the business forum about 'best single piece of advice' - and the vast majority is actually very good.

Aside from one person who keeps just popping up with buzz phrases....

'buy cheap, sell dear, never borrow' - this made me wince.

Breaking it down - my hint to a successful business is 'have a mark up' - handy.

Absolutely no inclination on the best way to pitch at the market....what markets where super-mark ups are possible.....just 'mark up products'

Also anyone with the ability to do arithmetic and with a solid cash flow can see the benefits of a sensible and restrained use of debt to a company.
