That's surely not a genuine wheel on a car. Surely that's a badly executed display model.

Parrot?
Would be interesting to hear the story but the fact the original holes haven't been drilled suggests that this may be just something being messes around with at the factory and drilled to fit a certain hub/jig. At least I hope so!!!
This popped up a few years ago, something to do with a VW concept car at a show if I recall correctly. Certainly factory done and not for
production
I can not imagine any circumstances where the perfection obsessed people in charge of show cars would let that piece of crap get past the scrap bin.
yes I remember seeing that too, but can't quite remember the full details - someone here had a very credible explanation.

But that is a really nice granite counter top. And just look at how smooth that bead of caulk is along the join.

You are putting your life in your hands if you ever get it wet. Should probably have run a bit of caulk over the holes in the socket.

Many years ago I installed the first generation of plasma TVs. People had some odd ideas about where they should go, including one above a door. We advised the customer it would look st but he wanted us to go ahead with it anyway. When he saw it he said “it looks st, can we put it up a couple of inches?”

We told him it would still look st but he was insistent. At this time, plasmas weighed more than a small car and so the bracket was a slab of metal about 1ft by 2ft. We took the bracket off the wall and filled the holes. Drilled new and tried to put the tv up. At which point I go a mains voltage shock. My colleagues were hysterical......laughing. They hypothesized it was static from the new carpet. I got hit again so the next time my friend Ian gave it a try and got shocked. He looked all serious and said “definitely live”.

The point of the story is that the building was 17th century and when it had been retrofitted with electricity they hadn’t been so careful with modern day practices. Cables were buried diagonally in the plaster all over the place and our filler wasn’t dry.

The point of that story is you’re one half of Bodgit and Scarper, just we aren’t sure which half.

I've actually got a bit of admiration for that. Just hope its not in a 4 bed family house!

I like the hinged angle access ramp... just don't drop the loo roll or it end up going down the stairs hehe

If you do a stinker on that bog then the whole house will be a biohazard death zone instead of just the bathroom.

Just looked at my Seiko 5 and it looks like this -

I am an habitual picture-straightener, and had never noticed the winder / adjuster location before (and it's the second one I've owned too)
On my Aevig, the winder's at the 2 o'clock position, but same rationale in that it doesn't dig into your wrist when bending your hand back.

Also not sure what some will make of the 2 and 4 facing in opposite directions. Same for the 8 and 10, although I like it personally.

I hope that door is some elaborate mechanism that folds down so you walk over it to get to the loo, then folds upwards to shut the you in for the main event.
