Things that annoy you beyond reason...(Vol 5)
Discussion
The Kirkland 400 metre long cling film from Costco (which lasts so long it will probably be covering the buffet at my funeral wake) is still in its original box.
I can tell the Mrs has been at it because instead of the clean cut I leave behind, the film is wrinkled and clumped in the middle, and torn to st.

Yup, that's the one. It comes in a plastic box with its own cutting lid. I've found that you have to give the lid a bit of a sharp decisive thump to get a clean cut, rather than trying to tear it like you would with foil.
And, yes, it lasts forever.

These are expensive but do work really well for clingfilm/tinfoil

I know that such a thing would improve my life in a small way forever, and I'd never resent the cost, nor miss the money. I just can't bring myself to spend £15 on it. https://www.lakeland.co.uk/7518/Wrapmaster-Foil-an...

Mine comes in a cardboard box with what is basically a saw blade for a cutting tool - very sore if you nearly drop it and grab the blade while catching it! Hardly any effort required to get a clean cut though, just get the pull angle right and it cuts with no difficulty whatsoever. Do it. The refills are pennies and the avoidance of frustration and anxiety every time you need some cling film is no less than life-changing.I'm a fool.
The Costco one is good, but the Wrapmaster is on a completely different level of excellence.

Car insurance!
I've registered my car on Dutch plates and it appears the new plates aren't on their database so had to enter everything from scratch. An hour on the phone and a quote for €866 for third party cover on a 9 year old diesel Skoda
Now waiting for them to get back to me about my UK no claims which will hopefully knock a bit off that.

Another one just come to mind. Bloody touch dimmer bedside lights. They work the wrong way. Dim, bright, too damn bright. So when you need to go to sleep it goes through that annoying sequence and gives you arc eye when you need to turn it off.
Even more annoying when you accidentally toucj it in the middle of the night.
