I picked up a Deuter Kid Comfort for doing some walks with the little one. Really good, sturdy carrier but bloody hell, it's some weight to lug around when they get bigger!
Looks like something they fit to elephants in Thailand. laugh
I certainly felt like one!! laugh

Plus you have to get her majesty in the thing first and then sort of swing it on with her in it...it's a bit hit and hope the first time!!

We have a scan tomorrow to see if our little one is breech coming up 38 weeks. We've been told if she is we'll have a C section week 39.
Fingers crossed the little one has moved round. It's quite nice knowing when you are going to go in for a c-section but you don't sleep the night before at all! Also different experience and quite relaxed as you just walk into hospital without mum in pain. I guess some mums (mine included) did say she felt she cheated labour & wished it was natural but safety first.

Also if they are breech just be warned you will need to go for ulta sounds around 3 months after to check for hip dysplasia because they have been the wrong way it can cause issues but just be prepared as no one told us and we just got a letter through the post one day!
Thanks Rich had the scan yesterday turns out she not breech head down as she should be which is a relief.

Covid has given me an appreciation of childminders/nurseries.

Keeping a toddler entertained with different things, whilst maintaining some "development" activities for multiple days is hard work. Never mind doing it for 3 or 4 of them, all whom have different wants at different times...

Moving house in June, anyone done it with a little one? Thinking try keep them occupied with a family member or something? The 4 hour drive to the new house will be interesting, as is figuring out logistics of how to move 4 cars with 2 adults and a toddler!

10 weeks left till our boy comes into the world.

Everything going ok, he’s a little big according to the last scan (est 3lb 3oz) so they think he may be arriving a couple of weeks early unless he slows down.

Nearly have everything we ‘think’ we need, but after recommendations for a sterilizer and formula prep machine if anyone has any experience?

Getting a little excited now, been a long time coming!

Tommee Tippie Perfect Prep machine. Absolute best thing we’ve bought. Bottle sorted in less than 2 mins. Buy the little tommee tippie formula holders. Saves measuring the formula out at 2am when bleary eyed and you can’t remember how many scoops you’ve put in the bottle!

We’ve got the Tommee Tippie electric steam steriliser too. Dead easy to use and clean (white vinegar overnight and it’s brand new looking again). We’ve used Mam bottles in them without issue for the last 6 months so don’t think you need to have a matching steriliser & bottle set.

Agree with the perfect prep, a real help especially with those night feeds.

Another vote for the Tommee Tippie Perfect Prep machine from me - it’s been an absolute life saver with the twins.

I’ve been looking at these so thanks for confirming I’m on the right track
Is there any point going for the day and night version rather than the standard perfect prep?

We have also been looking at those. The thought of having to do the whole kettle routine at 3am doesn’t sit well. laugh

I’m leaning towards the newer one as the older version seems to have a very annoying loud beep than you cannot turn off.

Been reading reviews for the newer one this morning, the beeping is the main issue with the older one.
Tommee Tippee’s site has a bundle set including the sterilizer, day and night machine, and some other stuff for £195, so going to go for that

15% discount code drops it to £166. (Wttf15)

Thanks for the advice

I’d just go for the first one (with the loud beep) and put the £40 saved towards other things you’ll need tbh. The beep is loud, but not to the point I’ve thought I wished I’d paid the extra for one without it and with a nightlight.

smile, few people I know currently WFH feel exactly the same. In fact a few think I’m weird because I’m actually looking forward to having 6 months off with him (shared parental leave)

I love mine dearly.

Nursery reopens on June 1 and the youngest will be there at 8:30am sharp.

Anything to avoid or general advice welcome.
