Bath - a bit breezy at times overnight, but clear and sunny most of today here.
The five large London Plane trees in the Circus have lost most of their leaves, a few twigs fallen too.

Meh.

Just drove down from NE Suffolk to N London. Most of it in driving rain. To be fair, everyone was being sensible on the A12.

That looks bad, hope the occupants (if any) were OK?
Yep, all fine thankfully.
There was a fatality unfortunately.

Quick survey before I departed home (Blackpool)this morning

Wheelie bin on its side
1 fence panel damaged but probably reparable with gorilla glue and screws

On the plus side most of the leaves have departed from the garden..

This really annoys me more than it should, I know. The “it’s only 1 day a year” lot would shut me down, but lorries should be on fking winters.
Not sure if serious… winter tyres won’t make a huge difference when you’re trying to pull up to 44 tons up hill
They almost never have issues over here in Norway - winter tyres make a big difference. But you'd have the issues of others not on them anyway.

Took me 4 hours to get to Leeds from Cheshire this morning. Stuck just before Junction 21 on the M62 for approx. 1 and 1/2 hours at 5.30am this morning and then a nice detour through Milnrow, Todmorden, Halifax and Bradford in the truck. I nearly did the A50 and then M1 instead and was cursing myself for not doing so when I got stuck on the M62, but then heard on the radio the M1 was just as bad in South Yorkshire anyway.

Admittedly my eyesight isn't what it once was, but I'd swear that's a dog.

It'd take a couple of weeks before anyone noticed that part of the network was shut anyway wink

Had a decent dump in west Sheffield early this morning but it was very slushy and started running away so I was able to venture out this afternoon. Any remaining snow is frozen solid again now though so it may be a bit lively getting off the street tomorrow morning. Glad I decided to put my winters on last weekend as I nearly left it a bit longer.

Chuffin pretty though smile

We can shut a lane and traffic flows as normal. Do that anywhere else and it snarls up!
